In an embodiment method, an envelope voltage of a resonant capacitor of a wireless power receiver in a wireless charging system may be detected at an output node. One or more parameters of the wireless power receiver may be adjusted in order keep the envelope voltage within a pre-determined voltage range. The one or more parameters includes a capacitance across a receiving coil and the resonant capacitor, or a current of a sub-circuit connected between the output node and a ground. An amplitude shift keying (ASK) carrier signal may be detected at a wireless power transmitter of the wireless charging system and attenuated. A demodulated ASK signal may be generated from the attenuated ASK carrier signal based on peak values of the attenuated ASK carrier signal and a zero-crossing signal generated from the attenuated ASK carrier signal.

Hybrid power conversion system and control method

Pixels in an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display may be microcavity OLED pixels having optical cavities. The optical cavities may be defined by a partially transparent cathode layer and a reflective anode structure. The anode of the pixels may include both the reflective anode structure and a supplemental anode that is transparent and that is used to tune the thickness of the optical cavity for each pixel. Organic light-emitting diode layers may be formed over the pixels and may have a uniform thickness in each pixel in the display. Pixels may have a conductive spacer between a transparent anode portion and a reflective anode portion, without an intervening dielectric layer. The conductive spacer may be formed from a material such as titanium nitride that is compatible with both anode portions. The transparent anode portions may have varying thicknesses to control the thickness of the optical cavities of the pixels.

A controller for controlling a multi-phase power conversion system includes a pulse width modulation (PWM) comparator configured to generate a PWM signal based on a ramp signal, a voltage reference signal and a feedback voltage from the power conversion system. A circuit may be configured to generate, based on the PWM signal, PWM signals by delaying the PWM signal with different delay times, and feed the PWM signals to respective switching power converters of the multi-phase power conversion system, to regulate an output voltage of the power conversion system. Each switching power converter may include a control circuit configured to adjust a pulse width of a received PWM signal based on a reference current and an output current of a corresponding switching power converter, to generate an adjusted PWM signal, based on which, an output voltage of the corresponding switching power converter is regulated.

System and method for multi-phase power conversion and control

An apparatus includes a PWM ramp generator coupled between a switching node of a power converter and a first input of a comparator, the PWM ramp generator including a first resistor and a first capacitor connected in series between the switching node and the first input of the comparator, and a second resistor and a second capacitor connected in parallel between the first input of the comparator and a feedback node, and a PFM control circuit including an error amplifier and a current zero crossing detection comparator, wherein the error amplifier is coupled between a second input of the comparator and a reference node, and the PFM control circuit is configured to generate gate drive signal for the power converter when the power converter is configured to operate in a PFM mode.

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display may have an array of organic light-emitting diode pixels that each have OLED layers interposed between a cathode and an anode. Voltage may be applied to the anode of each pixel to control the magnitude of emitted light. The conductivity of the OLED layers may allow leakage current to pass between neighboring anodes in the display. To reduce leakage current and the accompanying cross-talk in a display, the pixel definition layer may disrupt continuity of the OLED layers. The pixel definition layer may have an undercut to disrupt continuity of some but not all of the OLED layers. The undercut may be defined by three discrete portions of the pixel definition layer. The undercut may result in a void that is interposed between different portions of the OLED layers to break a leakage path formed by the OLED layers.

A control circuit is configured to control a switched capacitor converter to operate in a pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode. The control circuit includes a one-shot circuitry configured to generate a one-shot pulse to drive the switched capacitor converter to operate in the PFM mode. A PFM mode comparator is coupled to the one-shot circuitry, and is configured to trigger, based on an output voltage of the switched capacitor converter, the one-shot circuitry to generate the one-shot pulse. The switched capacitor converter may be controlled to enter or exit the PFM mode operation based on a trailing current of a flying capacitor of the switched capacitor converter, an output current of the switched capacitor converter, a charging time duration of the flying capacitor when the switched capacitor converter is operating in the PFM mode, or a PFM switching period of the switched capacitor converter operating in the PFM mode.

A switched capacitor converter package includes a semiconductor package on a first side of an electrical routing apparatus, a first capacitor and a second capacitor on a second side of the electrical routing apparatus, wherein the first capacitor and the second capacitor are adjacent to each other and connected in parallel, and a third capacitor and a fourth capacitor connected on the second side of the electrical routing apparatus, wherein the third capacitor and the fourth capacitor are adjacent to each other and connected in parallel.

Switched capacitor converter package structure and method

Visibility of the metal mesh touch electrodes can be mitigated using one or more mitigation techniques. In some examples, the boundary between touch electrodes and/or the boundary between a touch electrode and a routing trace of another touch electrode and/or the boundary between two routing traces can be non-linear. In some examples, dummy cuts can be made within an area of a touch electrode region (e.g., while maintaining the same electrical potential for the touch electrode region). In some examples, notches can be made in the metal mesh. In some examples, the location of cuts and/or notches can be optimized to mitigate visibility of the metal mesh. In some examples, some or all of the visibility mitigations may be used in combination in a touch screen.

A method includes turning on a first group of switches of a switched capacitor converter in a battery charging system to establish a first conductive path, and configuring a system voltage at a system bus to charge a first flying capacitor to a predetermined voltage level through the first conductive path, wherein the predetermined voltage level is less than the system voltage, and turning on a second group of switches of the switched capacitor converter in the battery charging system to establish a second conductive path to charge a battery, wherein a sum of a voltage across the first flying capacitor and the system voltage is applied to the battery.

A wireless power receiver according to some embodiments includes an integrated circuit which includes: a full-bridge rectifier coupled to receive wireless power from a receiver coil; a wireless receiver controller coupled to control the full-bridge rectifier; a pass device coupled between the full-bridge rectifier and an output; and a configurable controller coupled to the switch, the configurable controller configurable as a LDO controller or a Buck controller. A second controller can be coupled to the configurable controller that interfaces to an external Buck low-side transistor if the configurable controller is the Buck controller and provides GPIO if the configurable controller is the LDO controller. A third controller can be coupled to the full-bridge rectifier, which operates as a full-bridge sync rectifier driver multiplexer to select an external driver for one or more of the rectifier transistors.
