Fast search and selection of a transform kernel for AV1 encoding

In one example, a video encoder divides a superblock of a video frame into subblocks. The dividing includes dividing the superblock according to a first and second partitioning schemes to generate a first and second combination of subblocks, respectively. The number of non-zero residuals in each subblock in the first and second combinations of subblocks is less than a corresponding threshold set for a size of the subblock. The encoder determines the subblocks for the superblock as the first combination of subblocks based on a first cost value associated with the first combination of subblocks being lower than a second cost value associated with the second combination of subblocks. The encoder further encodes the superblock into a video bitstream representing the video by encoding the subblocks.

Reducing grid artifacts in video frames

Fast parameter search for chroma from luma (CFL) intra prediction in video encoding is provided. A video encoder determines a value of a parameter of a linear CFL predictor for a coding block of a frame of a video. The determining includes dividing a search range within a value range of the parameter into three portions by a starting value: the starting value and values on two sides of the starting value. The encoder determines cost values of parameter values from the three portions and select the value of the parameter that corresponds to the lowest cost value. The encoder further encodes the coding block of the frame into a bitstream representing the video using the CFL predictor with the selected value of the parameter.

Fast parameter search for chroma from luma intra prediction in video coding

Deriving in-loop filter parameters via training for video encoding is provided. A video encoder performs inter prediction for a frame in a set of frames of the video to generate prediction residuals for the frame. The inter prediction for the frame is performed based on a reconstructed frame in the set of frames filtered using an in-loop filter. The value of a parameter of the in-loop filter is determined by determining, for each candidate in-loop filter parameter value, a visual quality metric for a set of training frames in training video sequences filtered by the in-loop filter. The candidate in-loop filter parameter value that corresponds the highest visual quality metric can be selected as the value of the parameter of the in-loop filter. The video encoder further encodes the prediction residues of the frame and the parameter of the in-loop filter into a bitstream representing the video.

Deriving in-loop filter parameters for video coding

Constructing a motion vector candidate list for inter-prediction in video coding is provided. A video encoder performs inter prediction for a frame of the video to generate prediction residuals. The inter prediction is performed using motion vectors (MVs) for blocks of the frame. To determine the motion vector of a block, the encoder determines an integer-valued MV for the block based on a reference frame and selects, based on the integer-valued MV, a subset of candidate MVs from a list of MVs including MVs of neighboring blocks. The encoder identifies a MV from the subset of candidate MVs for the block and searches in a neighborhood of the identified MV for a refined MV. The encoder calculates the prediction residuals for the block based on a reference block in the reference frame pointed by the refined MV and encodes the prediction residuals into a bitstream representing the video.

In the unit T of the spherical or angular powder filler, the content of the unit without containing a hydroxyl group in the total unit is greater than or equal to 95%, and the content of the unit containing one hydroxyl group in the total unit is less than or equal to 5%. Also disclosed are the spherical or angular powder filler obtained by the preparation method, and application thereof. The spherical or angular powder filler has low permittivity, low water absorption and low radioactivity.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a spherical or angular powder filler, comprising providing a spherical or angular siloxane comprising T units; performing a heat treatment on the spherical or angular siloxane, the heat treatment temperature between 250° C. and the temperature of oxidative decomposition of organic groups, so that silicon hydroxyl groups in the spherical or angular siloxane are condensed to obtain a condensed siloxane; and adding a treatment agent to treat the condensed siloxane to promote the condensation of silicon hydroxyl groups in the condensed siloxane to give a spherical or angular powder filler, the treatment agent comprising a silane coupling agent and/or disilazane, and the quotient of the molecular weight of at least a portion of the silane coupling agent and/or the disilazane divided by its specific gravity at 25° C. being less than or equal to 210. The present invention also provides a spherical or angular powder filler obtained therefrom. The present invention further provides use of above spherical or angular powder filler. The filler provided by the present invention has low permittivity, low permittivity loss, without conductive impurities, without coarse oversize particles, and low radioactivity.

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a spherical silica powder filler, comprising the following steps: performing hydrolytic condensation on an organic silicon compound to obtain polysiloxane precipitate, wherein the organic silicon compound comprises silane having the chemical formula of (R)(R)(R)(Si(X), wherein R, R, and Rare independently selected C1-18 hydrocarbyl groups or hydrogen atoms; X is a hydrolysable functional group; a, b, and c are 0, 1, 2, or 3; d is 1, 2, 3, or 4; and a+b+c+d=4; smashing and drying the polysiloxane precipitate to obtain siloxane angular powder; and melting and spherifying the siloxane angular powder into the spherical silica powder filler. The present invention also provides a spherical silica powder filler obtained by the method and an application thereof. The present invention takes the organic silicon compound as the starting material, and the resulting spherical silica powder filler does not contain radioactive elements such as uranium and thorium, and therefore, the requirement of low radioactivity is satisfied.

Disclosed is a preparation method for a polysiloxane powder filler. The method comprises: providing polysiloxane which contains at least 60 wt % of T unit, wherein T unit is equal to RSiO, Ris a hydrogen atom or an independently selected organic group comprising 1-18 carbon atoms; and performing heat treatment on the polysiloxane under inert gas atmosphere or vacuum conditions, wherein the heat treatment temperature is 250 to 750 degrees, such that silicon hydroxyl groups in the polysiloxane are condensed to obtain a polysiloxane powder filler having a true density greater than or equal to 1.33 g/cmand more preferably greater than or equal to 1.34 g/cm. The polysiloxane powder filler obtained by the described preparation method has low inductivity, low inductivity loss and low radioactivity; and can be used for semiconductor packaging materials, circuit boards and intermediate semi-finished products thereof, and semi-cured sheets or copper clad laminates of high-frequency high-speed circuit boards.

A method for efficiently visualizing parallel vector data rapidly renders high-quality complex vector graphics. The present invention provides a scanline algorithm for calculating and rendering on contour lines, which parallel-rasterizing on the contour lines. The algorithm firstly rasterizes the contour lines into segments corresponding to output image pixels. On each segment, color values are analytically calculated, or approximately obtained by a sampling algorithm. Contour rasterizing is efficiently completed in parallel. By analytical calculation or 32-bit sampling, high quality results are obtained. The present invention adapts parallel prefixes and algorithms in a scanline direction to obtain covering information for each pixel and generate filled areas. Finally, the contour line segments and the filled areas of the vector graphics are rendered in the output image. The present invention is entirely based on parallel many-core computing devices for real-time high-quality vector graphic rendering with hardware acceleration.
