A brush motor includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor includes a rotary shaft with a rotor core and commutator fixed thereto. The commutator includes an insulating base and commutator segments fixed to the insulating base. The stator includes 2P stator poles, where P is an integer greater than 1. The rotor comprises m teeth, where 4P&#x3e;m&#x3e;2P, and 2m is an integral multiple of P. The rotor includes a rotor winding, which is a concentrated winding having m first elements and m second elements. Each tooth is wound with one of the first elements and one of the second elements. the m first elements form a plurality of element groups, each having n first elements connected in series, and being connected only to corresponding commutator segments at both ends thereof, where P&#x2265;n&#x2265;2. Both ends of each second element are connected to corresponding commutator segments.

Brush motor and cooling module using the same

A cooling fan module includes a fan and a PMDC motor. The PMDC motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has 2P magnetic poles. The rotor includes a rotary shaft, a rotary core, a commutator, and a winding. The rotor core includes m&#xd7;P pole teeth. The commutator includes k&#xd7;m&#xd7;P commutator segments. Adjacent pole teeth define therebetween winding slots for receiving the winding. The winding includes winding units each having P coils. Each of two ends of each winding unit includes a lead-out line connected to the commutator segment. Any two lead-out lines extending out of different winding slots are spaced from each other at locations outside the commutator segments.

Permanent magnet direct current motor and cooling fan module

An electric power steering system and its brush motor are disclosed. The brush motor includes a stator and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The rotor includes a rotary shaft, a commutator and a rotor core fixed to the rotary shaft, and a rotor winding wound around the rotor core. The commutator includes a plurality of commutator segments. The rotor core includes a plurality of teeth. The rotor winding includes a plurality of winding elements. Adjacent teeth define therebetween wire slots for receiving the winding elements. The winding elements include a plurality of first winding elements and a plurality of second winding elements. The first winding elements are connected in series through the commutator segments. The second winding elements are connected in series through the commutator segments. The first winding elements and the second winding elements are received in different wire slots. Implementation of the present invention can improve the reliability of the product.

Electric power steering system and brush motor thereof

A cooling fan module for a heat exchanger or the like, has a motor, a fan driven by the motor and a speed controller connected between the motor and a power supply. The speed controller is configured to operate the motor in a high speed mode and a low speed mode. The speed controller includes a high speed branch and a low speed branch connected in parallel. The low speed branch includes a pulse width modulation circuit configured to reduce an average voltage by a fixed duty ratio to achieve a low speed operation of the motor. By eliminating the conventional voltage dropping resistor, the speed controller reduces the power consumption, thus increasing the efficiency of the module, in the low speed mode of operation.

Cooling fan module

A BLDC includes an outer casing, and a first sub-motor and a second sub-motor mounted within the outer casing. The BLDC further includes a terminal hub, and a first conductive terminal set and a second conductive terminal set. The first and second sub-motor include their respective stators that are energized independently and a common rotor. The first conductive terminal set is configured as a power supply branch circuit for the stator of the first sub-motor, the second conductive terminal set is configured as a power supply branch circuit for the stator of the second sub-motor. The first and second sub-motors can be configured to selectively commonly operate as a single motor to output normal power or operate independently. When one sub-motor fails, the other sub-motor can independently operate to ensure reliability and safety of the motor.

Brushless direct current motor and electric power steering system comprising same

A fan and a motor drive device thereof are provided. The motor drive device is configured to drive a motor and includes a control management unit and a voltage converter. The control management unit classifies target rotation speed signals provided by an ECU into multiple rotation speed ranges, each corresponding to a specific output duty ratio. The control management unit receives a target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU in a real-time manner, and output a voltage regulating signal, which is a pulse width modulation signal having a duty ratio corresponding to one of the rotation speed ranges in which the target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU falls. The voltage converter is connected between a power source and the motor, and is configured to regulate a voltage outputted to the motor in response to the voltage regulating signal having the specific duty ratio outputted from the control management unit, to regulate a rotation speed of the motor.

Fan and motor drive device thereof

A brushless direct current electric motor includes a first sub-motor and a second sub-motor. The first sub-motor and the second sub-motor share a common rotor, and each comprises an independent stator. The stators of each sub-motor comprises a plurality of teeth and a plurality of windings. The teeth of the first sub-motor and the teeth of the second sub-motor are interleavingly arranged in a circumferential direction or arranged side by side in an axial direction. The first sub-motor and the second sub-motor are configured to cooperatively work as a single electric motor to output a normal power. When one of the sub-motors breaks down, the other sub-motor can be operated independently to enhance reliability and safety of the brushless direct current electric motor.

An auxiliary oil pump system for a gearbox, comprising: an auxiliary battery; a controller electrically connected to the auxiliary battery; and an auxiliary oil pump driven by the controller using a self-adaptive process, wherein the self-adaptive process comprises: the controller receives current operational pressure signal and compared the current operational pressure signal to a pressure threshold; if the current operational pressure signal is bigger than the pressure threshold, the auxiliary oil pump keeps current rotational speed; if the current operational pressure signal is smaller than the pressure threshold, the auxiliary oil pump improves the rotational speed by a pre-determined speed.

A brush assembly for a brush motor includes a support member, brush holders, at least four brushes respectively mounted to the brush holders, and first and second motor terminals for connecting with an external power supply. A first filter circuit is connected between the first motor terminal and corresponding first brushes. A second filter circuit is connected between the second motor terminal and corresponding second brushes. The first and second motor terminals and the first and second filter circuits are mounted in a region defined by two corresponding adjacent brushes forming an angle greater than 60 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

An electric coolant pump includes an outer housing, a motor, an impeller, and an electrical control unit. The outer housing includes a first housing portion, a second housing portion, and a partition plate integrally formed. The partition plate is disposed between the first housing portion and the second housing portion. The motor is received in the first housing portion. The motor includes a sealing sleeve, a stator disposed on an inner wall surface of the outer housing, and a rotor rotatably received in the sealing sleeve. The impeller is driven by the rotor of the motor to drive a coolant to flow. The electrical control unit is received in the second housing portion and electrically connected to the motor. The electrical control unit and the impeller are respectively located at two opposite ends of the motor.

A fuse component configured to provide overcurrent protection for an electric motor comprises a spiral fuse portion and a magnetic core. The spiral fuse portion encloses at least a part of the magnetic core, so that the fuse component is also configured to function as a choke of the electric motor.

A housing assembly has a housing having an open end. A plurality of magnets are fixed to an inner surface of the housing. A magnet holder supports the magnets against movement in the axial and circumferential directions. A cover is mounted in the magnet holder for fixing the magnets in the radial direction. The cover is resiliently deformed when assembled to the magnet holder and magnets, and abuts and resiliently urges the magnets towards the inner surface of the housing.

Housing assembly for an electric motor

A fan and a motor thereof are provided. The motor includes a motor drive device. The motor drive device includes a printed circuit board. A control management unit and a voltage converter are arranged on the printed circuit board, the control management unit classifies target rotation speed signals provided by an ECU into multiple rotation speed intervals, with each rotation speed interval corresponding to a fixed duty ratio. The control management unit receives a target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU in a real-time manner, and outputs a pulse width modulation signal having a duty ratio corresponding to the rotation speed interval to which the target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU belongs. The voltage converter is connected between the power source and the winding, and is configured to regulate a voltage outputted to the winding in response to the pulse width modulation signal having the fixed duty ratio outputted from the control management unit, to control a rotation speed of the motor. The motor drive device performs segment control on the rotation speed of the motor, thereby reducing the cost.

An electric motor includes a stator having multiple magnetic poles and a rotor rotatably mounted to the stator. The rotor includes a shaft, a commutator and a rotor core fixed to the shaft; and windings wound on the rotor core and electrically connected to the commutator. The rotor core is formed by stacking a plurality of laminations. Each lamination includes an inner ring having a hole for fixing the shaft; an outer ring radially spaced from the inner ring; multiple teeth extending outwardly from the outer ring, and multiple ribs connecting the inner ring to the outer ring. Each rib has a width w measured in a circumferential direction of the lamination. The number of ribs is n.
