A keyboard and a keyboard circuit, wherein the keyboard acts as an input device for a portable device or a computer. The keyboard circuit comprises an interface for connecting with the computer or the portable device, a detection circuit for detecting the logic level signal of the power supply from the computer or the portable device connected to the keyboard, and a microprocessor determining whether a computer or a portable device is connected to the keyboard in accordance with the logic level signal of the power input. The keyboard circuit uses a first communication circuit to communicate with the computer and a second communication circuit to communicate with the portable device, thus the keyboard is compatible with the computer or the portable device. The keyboard is capable of entering a sleep mode after finishing the transmission of the key codes to the computer or the portable device.

An electronic device includes a first rechargeable battery, a solar cell mounted on the electronic device, a second rechargeable battery and a power management circuit. The power management circuit includes a control module, a DC/DC module, a switch and a power supply switching module. The DC/DC module is configured for converting the DC power generated by the solar cell from one voltage level to another, and activating and maintaining the activation of the control module. The switch is turned on by the control module when the control module is activated, causing the DC power from the DC/DC module to charge the second rechargeable battery. The power supply switching module is controlled by the control module to select the second rechargeable battery to power the electronic device if the voltage level of the rechargeable battery is lower than that of the second rechargeable battery.

A luminance adjusting circuit includes an LED module, a switch module and a processing unit. A table equating luminance levels and average current values is pre-stored. The processing unit includes a judging and executing module and a signal generating module. The judging and executing module achieves a desired luminance level according to trigger signals generated by a button. The signal generating module produces timing signals to turn on and turn off the switch module periodically, thereby achieving an average current value to adjust the luminance level of the LED module to the desired level.

The present invention provides a portable electronic device. The device includes a first controller, a second controller, a mode switch unit, and a main controller. The mode switch unit is for a user to operate thereby generating a mode switch instruction. The main controller is for switching a work mode according to the mode switch instruction from the mode switch unit. The present disclosure provides a battery charging control circuit. The charging control circuit includes: a constant-current charging unit and a trickle charging unit. The charging control circuit further includes a branch switch, a control unit, and a detection unit. The branch switch is connected between a power source and the rechargeable battery for enabling or disabling the constant-current charging unit. The control unit is between the constant-current charging unit and the branch switch for controlling the branch switch. The detection unit is used to detect a state of the rechargeable battery. If the detection unit detects the state of the rechargeable battery is correspond to a predetermined state, then the control unit controls the branch switch to disable the constant-current charging unit and enable the trickle charging unit.

The present invention provides a charging control circuit for a rechargeable battery. The charging control circuit includes: a constant-current charging unit and a trickle charging unit. The charging control circuit further includes a branch switch, a detection switch, a control unit, and a detection unit.
