A system includes a lighting module, a processing module, and photovoltaic units. Each of the photovoltaic units receives light reflected off a body portion which is illuminated by light from the lighting module, and converts light energy of the reflected light into electricity. The processing module stores modes each of which specifies a code set. When one of the modes is selected, the processing module activates the lighting module to emit light based on the code set specified by the mode thus selected. The processing module converts electrical quantities measured individually for the photovoltaic units into respective code parameters, and composes an identification code using the code parameters.

A solar cell device includes a light-transmissive substrate, a solar cell module, an optical composite film assembly, and a light-transmissive top plate. The solar cell module is disposed on the light-transmissive substrate and includes a solar cell unit. The optical composite film assembly is light-transmissive, and includes a light diffusion layer and a fiber layer. The optical composite film assembly and the solar cell module are disposed on each other. The light-transmissive top plate is disposed spaced apart from the light-transmissive substrate and cooperates with the light-transmissive substrate to sandwich the solar cell module and the optical composite film assembly.

An identification system includes an input device and a verification device. A plurality of photovoltaic panels of the input device cooperatively receive light reflected off an object that is illuminated by a lighting module. Each photovoltaic panel converts light energy of the light received thereby into electricity. The input device further includes an electrical measurement unit to measure electrical quantities of the electricity generated by the photovoltaic panels, and an encoding unit to convert the electrical quantities into code parameters and to compose an input code using the code parameters. The verification device communicates with the input device, and verifies the input code.

Input device and identification system including the same

A solar energy module is provided and includes a substrate comprising at least one light diffusion layer and a plurality of light guiding layers adjacent to the light diffusion layer, and solar chips disposed on the lateral surfaces of the substrate. Solar light enters the substrate and is diffused by the light diffusion layer, and the diffused solar light is reflected by an interface of the light diffusion layer and the light guiding layer and is collected by the solar chips. A part of the solar light enters the light guiding layers and is reflected by the interface of the light guiding layers, and the reflected light is collected by the solar chips.

Solar energy module

A solar-powered lighting system includes a substrate, wherein at least one solar chip is disposed on one lateral side of the substrate, and at least one light source is disposed on one lateral side of the substrate. Solar light enters the substrate and propagates therein. Solar light energy is collected by the at least one solar chip which transforms the solar light energy into electrical power for the at least one light source to emit light to the substrate, before propagating therein and leaving the substrate.
