A rotor apparatus for a permanent-magnet motor has the main technical feature of a ring rotor with its magnets arranged according to the Halback magnetic ring array. In addition, for a distance between magnets of a parallel array and the outer ring edge of the rotor, and for a diameter difference between the inner and outer diameters of the ring rotor, a ratio between said distance/said diameter difference is between 0.43 and 0.48.

A permanent-magnet spindle motor includes a rotor in which a plurality of magnet units have a specific spatial configuration that results in a concentrated magnetic flux and consequently a high rotation speed. Each magnet unit has two first magnets and two magnetic barrier spaces, wherein the first magnets are provided in the tubular rotating shaft of the rotor mirror-symmetrically with respect to an axis of mirror symmetry defined by a diameter of the rotating shaft, and wherein each of the magnetic barrier spaces is formed as a hole, penetrates the rotating shaft along the axial direction thereof, is open at the two axial ends of the rotating shaft, is located between the outer periphery of the rotating shaft and one of the first magnets, and is adjacent to the distal end (with respect to the axis of mirror symmetry) of the one of the first magnets.

A cooling structure for rotary electric machine is provided. The cooling structure for rotary electric machine comprises a sleeve, a plurality of dividers, a plurality of first walls and a plurality of second walls. The sleeve comprises an annular surface of a first half annular surface and a second half annular surface. The dividers are configured on the annular surface of the sleeve in parallel to provide multiple channels. The first walls are configured on the first half annular surface and between multiple corresponding dividers to provide multiple first division regions. The second walls are configured on the second half annular surface and between multiple corresponding dividers to provide multiple first division regions wherein the first division regions are asymmetric to the second division regions.
