A bearing bushing for a charging device may include an inner jacket surface including at least two radial depressions. A respective lowest point of the at least two radial depressions may be disposed on a circle having a radius R1. A plurality of plateau surfaces may be disposed circumferentially between the at least two radial depressions and may be offset radially towards an inside of the bearing bushing. The plateau surfaces may be curved and may have a constant radius R2. A ratio between the radius R1 and the radius R2 may correspond to the relationship: R1/R2=1.001 to 1.015.

A supercharger for a motor vehicle engine may include a bearing device for mounting a shaft in a hub of a bearing housing. The bearing device may be configured to mount the shaft between a turbine wheel and a compressor wheel of the shaft via a bearing bush that may be floatingly mounted to the shaft within the hub in a closely delimited manner relative to the hub and the shaft. The bearing bush may be securely positioned by a pin that engages into the bearing bush radially from the hub. The pin may include a first part rotatably mounted in the bearing housing and a second part engaging in a recess of the bearing bush. An axis of the first part and an axis of the second part may run parallel to one another. The bearing bush and the pin may be connected via a ball joint connection.

Supercharger with axially adjustable clearance

An axial bearing may include a body having a disk-form configuration, a centrally disposed passage opening extending axially into the body structured to receive a shaft, and at least one circular segmental oil pocket opening towards the passage opening. The at least one oil pocket, in both circumferential directions relative to the body, may transition into a plateau surface section directly adjoining the at least one oil pocket.

Axial bearing

A bearing housing for an exhaust gas turbocharger may include a bearing housing cover arranged on a bearing housing wall. The bearing housing cover may include a penetrating rotation-symmetrical sealing recess with a centre axis and may have a locating surface facing the bearing housing wall and radially extending from the centre axis. The bearing housing may include a sealing bush arranged in at least one region of the sealing recess. The sealing bush may have a stop surface arranged opposite the locating surface and may include a penetrating shaft recess disposed rotation-symmetrical relative to the centre axis. The bearing housing cover may further include an at least partly circulating groove disposed on the locating surface radially spaced from the centre axis. The groove may include a drainage region arranged below the centre axis and extending from the centre axis radially to an outside.

Bearing housing and an exhaust gas turbocharger with such a housing

A hydrodynamic plain bearing having a stator and a rotor rotatable with respect to the stator, a rotor bearing surface being located opposite a counter-surface of the stator in order to generate hydrodynamic pressure. The rotor bearing surface and/or the counter-surface constitutes in a section view, in the context of a section along and through the rotation axis, a continuous bearing contour that is constituted from at least two contour segments. The contour segments are suitable for generating hydrodynamic load capacity in a radial and axial direction. The contour segments are led into one another, by at least one transition segment, in such a way that hydrodynamic load capacity is generatable via the contour segments and the transition segment. The plain bearing is embodied as a multiple-surface plain bearing having two or more lubrication wedges in the region of the contour segments and of the transition segment.

Hydrodynamic plain bearing and exhaust-gas-driven turbocharger

An exhaust gas turbocharger may include a bearing housing and a rotor. The rotor may have a shaft mounted in the bearing housing via two radial bearing bushes. Each radial bearing bush may have an inner surface facing the shaft. The inner surface may have a single chamfer, where the single chamfers of the two radial bearing bushes face one another, or two chamfers, where one of the two chamfers for each of the two radial bearing bushes facing one another are larger than the other of the two chamfers for each of the two radial bearing bushes facing away from one another.
