The invention relates to an absorbent incontinence article of the open type having attached diaper wings, wherein the rear diaper wings have closure elements in the edge region, and to the folding of the diaper wings at high production speeds without impairing the functionality of the closure elements and simultaneously the user-friendly arrangement of the closure elements in the folded absorbent incontinence article.
