A body structure of a motor vehicle, having a side part, having a vehicle roof, having a fastening device which acts on an underside of the vehicle roof, and having a roof rail which is mounted on an upper side of the vehicle roof via a plurality of mounting elements, a plurality of hollow rivets extending through the fastening device, which is configured as a reinforcing element for the vehicle roof, and the vehicle roof, and the roof rail being fastened to the upper side of the vehicle roof via the mounting elements in such a way that a threaded section of each mounting element extends through in each case one of the hollow rivets and protrudes out of the respective hollow rivet, a nut acting on that threaded section of the respective mounting element which protrudes out of the hollow rivet.

Body structure having a roof rail

A charging socket for a hybrid or electric vehicle is arranged in a container which is held in an opening in a body sheet of the vehicle body. A frame surrounds the opening on the inside of the body sheet. The frame is fixed to the body sheet and retains the container in a supported manner.

For fixing a rear covering part on a side part with a zero gap, a guide rail is provided in the side part and is locked in place in channel-type supports, into which guide rail the rear covering part is slid. The guide rail is durably held in a precise position with respect to the side part.

Arrangement for fastening a body element

A reinforcement, which is arranged in the side member of a vehicle body and comprises a reinforcing tube, is connected by way of fastening consoles with the vehicle body or with the columns of the vehicle body. So that tolerances of the reinforcing tube can be compensated and the center vehicle column is not deformed, compensating elements are connected between the center fastening console and the reinforcing tube, to which the fastening console can be fastened while tolerances are compensated and can be connected with the B-column.

Vehicle construction and method of making same

A receiving device for receiving a pneumatic spring arrangement includes a container, a bearing support, a stationary supporting frame, and an end connection plate. The pneumatic spring arrangement has pneumatic springs, each of which is connected to a swivellable hinged lever in a body structure of a motor vehicle. The container is embedded in the body structure of the vehicle, and the pneumatic springs and the hinged levers connected to the pneumatic springs are disposed in the container. The bearing support is swivellably attached to the hinged levers. The stationary supporting frame is disposed in the container, and the bearing support is connected to the stationary supporting frame. The end connection plate is adapted to and fastened to the body structure, wherein the end connection plate is connected to a top side of the container.
