A method for determining a connection status of a device to a cable within a network environment is provided. The method comprises obtaining a signal from a non-data carrying wire of the cable by a detector that is digitally isolated from data transmitted in a data carrying wire of the cable within the network environment, modifying the signal transmitted by the non-data carrying wire to the device and evaluating the modified signal to determine a connection status of the device to the cable.

Status of device connections

There is provided an apparatus and methods for a power conversion device. The method includes rectifying a mains voltage to produce a dc voltage and placing the dc voltage on a bus. The bus is coupled to an output converter and has a switch. The method also includes monitoring the bus voltage using voltage sensing circuitry and determining whether the voltage on the bus exceeds a threshold. If the voltage exceeds a threshold, the switch is turned off.

Method and apparatus for a power conversion device

A system and method are disclosed for remote testing of items where the tests are performed at a first site and monitored and controlled at a second site. A first remote test control station at the first site includes a test bench device for testing the items, and a video meeting station for viewing and controlling the test bench device. The second site includes a remote test control station, where the second remote test control station can control the testing parameters of the test equipment used by the test bench device, in near real time. The second remote test control station at the second site and the video meeting station at the first site are connected via both voice/audio links and visual links.
