In an electromagnetically actuated dual clutch-brake combination (), a drive input shaft () can be optionally engaged in drive connection with a first drive output shaft () or with a second drive output shaft (). The second drive output shaft () is associated with an electromagnetic brake (), which is provided in order to immobilize the second drive output shaft (), whereas the first drive output shaft () can still be connected to the drive input shaft () by an electromagnetic clutch (). The electromagnetic dual clutch-brake combination is suitable for controlling a variable longitudinal differential lock and a shiftable range gear system of an all-wheel distributor gearbox, with only a single electric motor.

Electromagnetically actuated dual clutch-brake combination

A device for guiding torque of one drive shaft () connected with a driving appliance () onto a first or a second output shaft (). A torque fed via the drive shaft () can be applied, respectively, to one of the two output shafts () depending on a control of a changeover device (). The changeover device () comprises one electromagnetic clutch () which can produce a power flow between the drive shaft () and the first or the second output shaft (or). The electromagnetic clutch () comprises a coupling element () which is guided and displaced in an axially and rotatable manner and is fixedly connected with the drive shaft () and depending on a current supply of the electromagnetic clutch () produces the power flow between the drive shaft () and the first or the second output shaft (or).

Device for guiding a driving torque

The invention proposes an electromagnetically actuated, single-surface friction coupling without a rotor slip-ring, having a rotor element ( ), a fixed magnet body ( ) and a pot-shaped armature element ( ) mounted so that it can be displaced axially. A cylindrical jacket shaped area ( B) of the armature element ( ) extends with a narrow air gap along an outer jacket surface ( ) of the magnet body ( ). Between the armature element ( ) and a friction surface ( ) of the rotor element there is a working air gap (S) that can be bridged. To keep the moment of inertia on the drive output side as small as possible, it is proposed to arrange the rotor element ( ) on the drive output side and the armature element ( ) on the drive input side.

Electromagnetically actuated, single-surface friction coupling, without a rotor slip ring

The invention is based on an electromagnetic hysteresis unit ( ) with magnetic north pole ( ) which are arranged to alternate with magnetic south pole ( ) on a magnet body ( ) in a peripheral direction ( ) about an axis of rotation ( ) at a distance from the magnetic south poles ( ). The magnet body ( ) comprises a magnet coil ( ). A hysteresis ring ( ) connected with a rotor ( ) can be moved with a slight play in relation to the poles ( ). It is proposed that the peripheral surfaces of the north pole ( ) and south pole ( ) lie on the same circle and opposite the same peripheral surface of the hysteresis ring ( ). Thereby is created a radial construction space for embedding the hysteresis ring ( ) in the rotor ( ) which consists of material of good heat conductivity and optionally for providing cooling ribs.

The invention relates to a hysteresis brake comprising a hysteresis ring (,) which is rotationally fixed to a roller (,), and a magnetic ring with magnetic poles. The magnetic ring (,) is made of permanent magnetic material and is mounted inside the hysteresis ring (,), wherein the magnetic poles are alternately along the external circumference of the magnet ring (,). The magnetic ring (,) encloses a supporting member (,), which is mounted in a rotationally secured position but which can be axially displaced around the axis by means of a regulating device (,).

A rapid-torque clutch/brake assembly has a hub secured to the driven shaft and connected to an axially displaceable ring by a pair of spring rings which flank interdigitating arms of the axially displaceable ring and the hub. An electromagnetic coil can be energized to selectively shift the axially displaceable ring into engagement with a clutch ring coupling the shaft to a driving element such as a pulley, or into engagement with a brake ring connected to a housing for braking rotation of the shaft.

Rapid-stop torque-transmitting device

An electromagnetic single-surface clutch/brake combination, especially for textile machinery, in which a rotor assembly is locked to the shaft end encloses the magnetic body carrying the coils so that the latter can be secured to the housing flange when the unit, as delivered, is mounted on the shaft. The rotor assembly and the magnetic body are bridged by a bearing.
