This invention is both an apparatus and a method for distributing concrete coming from a concrete pump to anyone of a plurality of points of use. An intermediate conduit is connected with a main supply conduit and the intermediate conduit comprises a plurality of branch points connected in series by the intermediate conduit. At each branch point a short branch pipe is connected with the intermediate conduit. All branch pipes can be completely plugged by rubber plugs. A discharge conduit is connected with the end of the intermediate conduit and a draining device can be operatively connected with the discharge conduit to force a deformable plug through the intermediate conduit and at least a part of the supply conduit in order to drain and cleanse the whole system before setting of the concrete will begin. The draining process is activated at the end of a working day or working period and can be automatically started after a predetermined stop period of the concrete pump.

Apparatus and a method for distributing concrete and similar materials

A concreting train consists of a plurality of wagons supporting a mixer, a multiple conveyor arrangement and separate containers for cement and aggregate. A container for cement has at least one integrated conveyor worm. All container wagons are provided with inclined conveyor belts which extend below the containers and overlap one another. On separate pathes aggregate and cement are supplied into a housing of the mixer wagon. The housing is supported on a weighing frame in order to additively weigh the mixing components. The housing contains a mixing shaft operatively connected with a drive motor. The housing is mounted for reciprocating movement along an inclined angled track in order to lift the housing on a higher level for discharging the concrete into a hopper of a concrete pump. The concreting train is adopted to be used in narrow tunnels in order to provide a multiplicity of small batches of high quality concrete in very short periods of time at the face, whereby quality and consistence can be quickly varied.

Arrangement for concrete production in tunnels

Surplus concrete or return concrete to be processed is poured into a high-capacity receiving bin and is transferred at a metered rate from said bin by means of a screw conveyor to a washing apparatus, in which fine components are separated from very fine components. The transfer at the metered rate is effected in dependence on the driving power of rotary motors of the rotary washing apparatus. When the driving power of the motors exceeds a predetermined value, then the motor of the screw conveyor is deenergized. When the driving power decreases below that value or below another value, the supply at the metered rate is resumed. The plant operates fully automatically and when the receiving bin has been emptied the plant is automatically cleaned and automatically shut down.

Plant for processing surplus concrete

Two settling tanks are arranged one beside the other and are separated by a walk-in corridor. The settling tanks are defined by four longitudinal walls, one end wall, and two ramps, which are disposed opposite said end wall. Two additional tanks are provided on the opposite side of the end wall. The longitudinal walls carry overflow weirs, which are continued on the outside by discharge troughs, which open into the tank. Owing to the large effective length of the overflow weirs the overflow velocity is low and the settling effect is high.

Sludge settling plant

A device for separating fine articles as sand from a sludge containing ultrafine articles comprises a continuously rotated substantially horizontal drum having a helical web at the peripheral inside thereof. The mass flow to be separated is deposited in the drum at a place spaced from both ends of the drum. The drum moves the sand at the bottom of the drum to the discharge end thereof, where a water feeding system is arranged providing an oppositely directed fresh water flow which mixes with said ultrafine particles forming a sludge. The sand is elevated at the discharge end of the drum by a plurality of buckets and discharged via an inclined discharge chute through an outlet opening of the drum. The sludge is discharged through the opposite front wall opening through which the mass flow is fed within a feeding tube.
