A cradle for a relay comprises a force introduction section at which a force is introduced from a triggering system and a force diversion section in which the force that is introduced from the triggering system is diverted to a contact system. A direct connection line extending between the force introduction section and the force diversion section runs through a receptacle. A bottom of the receptacle is spaced apart from the direct connection line.

A first distance between the side surface of the yoke and the overlap is smaller than a smallest second distance between the armature face and the yoke face in the open position.

A magnet system for an electrical actuator includes a substantially U-shaped magnet yoke having substantially parallel first and second pole legs connected by a yoke web. The first pole leg has a longitudinal end section bent out of a plane of the first pole leg. A longitudinal side of the longitudinal end section forms a first magnet pole. The second pole leg has an end face forming a second magnet pole.

An electrical relay includes a magnetic system, a contact system and a slider. The magnetic system includes an armature. The contact system includes a moveable spring contact and a fixed spring contact. The moveable spring contact is moveable between an open position and a closed position. The moveable spring contact is in electrical contact with the fixed spring contact in the closed position. The slider connects the moveable spring contact to the armature. The slider transfers movement of the armature to the moveable spring contact. The slider has at least one contact opening element extending there from. The contact opening element strikes the moveable spring contact during movement of the moveable spring contact to the open position to break any existing weld between the moveable spring contact and the fixed spring contact.

Electrical relay

A relay includes a magnetic system provided with an armature and a contact system provided with a first contact and a moveable second contact. An electrically insulating base plate is arranged between the magnetic system and the contact system and has an opening therein. First and second walls extend from the base plate and are arranged between the opening and the magnetic system or the opening and the contact system. An actuator extends between the armature and the contact system through the opening and transfers movement of the armature to the second contact to move the second contact into electrical engagement with the first contact. The actuator has a third wall that extends toward the base plate and between the first and second walls. The first, second, and third walls extend a leakage path of an electrical leakage current between the contact system and the magnetic system.

A magnet system for a bi-stable relay includes a coil, first and second core yoke members, and an armature. The coil has a first polarity state and a second polarity state. Each of the first and second core yoke members has a core arm and a yoke arm. Each of the yoke arms of the first and second core yoke members has a pole face. The armature has substantially parallel armature core arms separated by a permanent magnet. The armature is pivotally mounted in an air gap between the pole faces of the yoke arms of the first and second core yoke members such that the armature core arms contact the yoke arms in a first switch position corresponding to the first polarity state and in a second switch position corresponding to the second polarity state. The armature core arms are arranged substantially perpendicular to a center axis of the coil.

Magnet system with H-shaped armature for a relay

A heavy duty relay can safely switch a current of 40 A to 1 kA. The heavy duty relay is provided with a changeover spring which can be resiliently deflected by means of a switching force and with a normally-open contact, against which a contact point of the changeover spring is electrically conductively pressed in a switching position. The normally-open contact is arranged on a normally-open spring contact, which exhibits a higher spring stiffness than the changeover spring and is resiliently deflected in the switching position, and the changeover spring and/or the normally-open spring contact comprises a deflection region at least partially surrounded by a weakened zone. The spring stiffness of the deflection region is reduced relative to the region of the changeover spring and/or the normally-open spring contact surrounding the weakened zone.
