A plug contact arrangement is provided having a plurality of plug contact modules, including a plug socket module and a plug contact module. The plug socket module includes a base member and a socket contact section connected to the base member and having pair of contact members extending linearly and parallel with respect to each other and defining a contact blade receiving member there between. Each of the pair of contact members includes a contact face extending into the contact blade receiving member. The plug contact module is securable to the plug socket module and includes a plurality of lateral walls extending parallel to each other, a reinforcement member connecting the plurality of lateral walls, and a contact section extending from the plurality of lateral walls and having a contact blade having opposite contact faces to engage the pair of contact members.

The invention relates to an electrical contact arrangement for high pulsed currents and for connection with a polygonal socket. The electrical contact arrangement includes first contact, arm, a second contact arm, an intermediate space provided between the first and second contact arms, and a third contact arm. The second contact arm positioned apart from the first contact arm in a deflection direction extending perpendicularly to the plug-in direction. The first contact arm and second contact arm extend substantially in a plug-in direction, and one of the first contact arm or second contact arm resiliently deflectable relative to the other contact arm in the deflection direction. A contact terminal, by means of which an annular connector or two connectors may be gripped, is described. The contact terminal comprises a housing with a pivotally mounted terminal element which may be biased onto a contact face mounted on the housing at a contact region. A holding element is provided in the contact region, to prevent a connector inserted into the contact terminal from being pulled out in the lateral direction. The terminal element has a terminal face to grip the connector against the contact face.

An electrical plug connector having a lower part and a cover which form a housing. At least one terminal point having a receiving pocket is formed within the lower part and the cover. A sub-assembly including a spring tension clamp having an arcuate tension spring, for making contact with electrical conductors, and a conductor rail having a contact region for receiving a mating contact is positioned in the receiving pocket. The cover has an actuator passageway and an angled guide projection extending into the actuator passageway for guiding an actuating tool to actuate the clamp. The angled guide projection is constructed as a web, the arcuate tension spring of the clamp has an aperture, and the angled guide projection reaches through the aperture as the cover is engaged with the lower part placed over the contact sub-assembly.

Electrical connector

Electrical connector housing assembly 2 comprises a frame 26 which contains a plurality of individual housing modules 28, 30, 32 which are received in openings 34, 35 in the frame. The modules each have contact-receiving cavities 46, 70 in which contact terminals are positioned. For each module, a single key 62, 88 is provided which extends through the housing frame 26 and through the housing modules 28, 30, 32. The key 62, 88 serves to secure the module to the frame and to positively retain the individual terminals in their cavities in the modules.

Connector assembly comprises first and second connector housings and a camming slide for mating and unmating the housings. The first housing has flanges extending from the mating face thereof and has slots in the flanges which receive cam followers on the cam slide. The second housing has cam tracks in its sidewalls which also receive the cam followers. The camming slide is generally U-shaped and has a web which is spaced from the rear face of the second housing and arms which extend from the web across the sidewalls of the second housing and which overlap the flanges on the first housing. The cam followers project from the internal surfaces of the arms and extend through the slots and are dimensioned to be received in the camming slots on the second housing.
