A dental material for the control of caries and paradentitis is described, which contains an active agent combination of thymol and/or carvacrol and chlorhexidine and/or the physiologically compatible salts thereof. The dental material can be a dental varnish or a material such as a dental cement and the like, which remains in the oral cavity for a long period and from which the active combination can diffuse out.

Dental material and method for the control of caries and paradentitis

A process for producing artificial teeth or parts thereof is given, in which a mass of at least one polyfunctional isocyanate, at least one polyol and at least one methacrylate monomer, as well as in each case one catalyst for the polymerization of the methacrylate monomer and for the acceleration of the formation of a urethane is hardened in a first stage to an elastic blank, which can then be cured in a second stage to artificial teeth or parts thereof. A storage-stable dental material for performing the process comprises two components, namely at least one polyfunctional isocyanate as the first component and the remaining constituents as the second component.

Process for producing dentures of denture parts and storable dental

Apart from polymerizable organic binders, a radiopaque dental material contains a fluoride of the rare earth metals or mixtures of such fluorides, as well as optionally further inorganic compounds as fillers. The dental material is suitable as a one or two-component filling material for dental cement, as a crown and bridge material, as well as for producing dentures, inlays and implants and is characterized by a high radiopacity and at the same time a good transparency.
