A device for measuring pressure in a fluid line, with a fluid chamber, which is connected with the fluid line so as to allow flowthrough, and with a transducer, characterized in that the fluid chamber includes an opening to a branch line and in the branch line of the fluid chamber at least one end of a transmission element is inserted. The transmission element forms a power-locking connection between the fluid chamber and the transducer and the transmission element is suited for transmitting the fluid pressure to the transducer. This device proves to be especially precise and is easily sterilized.

A pump body for a medical gear pump for sucking and irrigating has a pot-like pump housing with two cylindrical openings, in which two meshing gearwheels are embedded. The driving gearwheel is, without pivot bearing, embedded in the opening. A lid is used for closing the pot-like pump housing. A trunnion protrudes from a bottom of the pump housing, onto which trunnion the driven gearwheel is mounted.

An apparatus for treating body tissue with ultrasound is provided having a generator and means for transmitting ultrasound to the tissue. The apparatus comprises a hollow probe for suctioning off treated tissue. The hollow probe is provided with a cutting blade in the region of the distal end of the probe and grasping means having a first and a second jaw are provided.

A handpiece is disclosed for a multifunctional instrument for endoscopic surgery. The handpiece comprises a case; a connector disposed on the case and adapted to be connected to connecting lines such as electrical lines, liquid supply and discharge lines, and the like; at least one ultrasonic transducer arranged in the case; an ultrasonic sonotrode transmitting the ultrasonic energy; and at least one switch for controlling functions of the handpiece. The handpiece is characterized by, among other things, the provision that the sonotrode includes a long and thin probe section with a duct composed of several segments which are welded to each other.
