A gear head for a manually guided power implement is provided. Part of the tool shaft, which receives a rotatable cutting tool, is embodied as a cylindrical splined shaft having grooves for the positive transmission of torque to the cutting tool. An abutment plate is disposed on the tool shaft and has an abutment surface that extends essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tool shaft. A centering cylinder extends through a circular central opening of the cutting tool and has inwardly directed longitudinal ribs that engage in the grooves of these splined shaft. A free end of the centering cylinder is provided with a beveled portion that extends from an outer contour of the cylinder to into the grooves.

A suction air filter for an internal combustion engine with a diaphragm carburetor, wherein the combustion engine has a suction channel for taking in combustion air from a clean air side of the air filter and for taking in fuel from a fuel chamber, wherein the diaphragm of the diaphragm carburetor controls the intake of the fuel into the fuel chamber, and wherein the dry side of the diaphragm is loaded with the pressure of the clean side of the suction air filter, has a housing and a filter body including a block of foamed plastic material and a blocking layer connected to one side of the block. The filter body is positioned in the housing such that the blocking layer is located at the clean side of the suction air filter.

Suction air filter for a combustion engine with diaphragm carburetor

The invention relates to a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw having an internal combustion engine, a fuel tank and an apparatus housing. The engine has a crankcase and at least one cylinder. The fuel tank is attached to the crankcase at a distance by means of two flanges whereby a mounting space is provided between the flanges, the crankcase and the fuel tank. This mounting space accommodates necessary components of the work apparatus and is closed by cover plates attached to the crankcase and the fuel tank or on the flanges.
