In a device for ambulatory wearing by the patient containing a pump for delivery of injection fluid or for removal of analysis fluid, the drive motor for the mechanically driven pump system is a Lavet-type stepper motor of small size designed for having a high mechanical power and low peak current requirement. Using this Lavet-type motor for syringe-type or peristaltic preferably patch-type pumps high infusion rates needed for e.g. bolus insulin injection or the delivery of therapeutic antibodies are achieved, and important safety features can be easily and reliably controlled, manufacturing costs get significantly reduced, and the overall size and weight of the device becomes smaller, for patient convenience.

Regulating members for a mechanical timepiece, specifically a system based on magnetic interaction between a resonator, in a form of a tuning fork for example, and an escape wheel, as a magnetic escapement. In the system plural areas of magnetic interaction between the resonator and the escape wheel are arranged such that torques produced at the escape wheel by the interactions compensate each other if the escape wheel is not synchronized at the frequency of the resonator. This results in negligible torque in the escape wheel when the escape wheel rotates slowly in a direction of an arrow or opposite direction. This allows the timepiece to start with a low mainspring torque and without any start procedure or device and provides better resistance of the timepiece against a loss of synchronization in event of a shock.

The method of synchronizing the analogue display () of a timepiece (), including an electronic time base (), is achieved using proximity sensors () respectively associated with wheels () each having an aperture () for defining the angular position of the latter. Determination of the angular position of a wheel requires an angular distance of around 60&#xb0; to 90&#xb0; to be travelled with this type of proximity sensor. Dependency of the measurement results upon the temperature generates a problem of precision in determining the angular position of the wheels, in particular a wheel secured to the hour indicator, given that an angle of 60&#xb0; to 90&#xb0; corresponds to a time interval of 2 to 3 hours. In order to ensure a measurement in a relatively short time interval where the ambient temperature is substantially constant and thus has no influence on the measurement, the invention provides that, in a analogue display synchronization mode at least one indicator is driven in an accelerated advance mode so that the aperture provided in the corresponding wheel quickly passes opposite the proximity sensor associated with that wheel.

There is disclosed a portable electronic instrument () including a case () and a user interface (to) for selecting the functions of said portable electronic instrument, this user interface including at least a first control member () mounted to be mobile in an assembly orifice () arranged in the case so as to have a translation travel along an axis of actuation (X&#x2014;X), said control member being able to be actuated by pressure to be brought from a position called the non pushed-in position to a position called the pushed-in position and to generate in response a control signal (SEL). The control member includes an electrically conductive stem () which passes through the assembly orifice and which includes first and second ends opening out respectively inside and outside the case, said stem being adapted to allow transmission of electric signals from and/or to the portable electronic instrument, when the control member is brought into said pushed-in position. This electronic instrument further includes means () for bringing the stem of the control member to a determined electric potential when the control member occupies the non pushed-in position and for interrupting the connection of the stem of the control member to the determined electric potential when the control member occupies said pushed-in position and for thus allowing transmission of said electric signals from and/or to the portable electronic instrument.
