A device for pumping fluid has a hydraulic pump ( ) and a drive ( ). The hydraulic pump ( ) is produced as an independent component with different types of drive devices ( ) as additional components that can be coupled in the form of a modular system, and is configured as a coupling piece ( ) for this purpose. Hydraulic tanks ( ) having different volumes represent a third, different type of component. Each hydraulic tank ( ) can be connected on one side to the coupling piece ( ). The corresponding drive device ( ) can be connected on the opposite or same side of the coupling piece ( ). The coupling piece ( ) is built as a single component and embodied in the form of a base plate. The hydraulic pump ( ) is an external gear pump ( ), whose toothed wheels ( ) are received or integrated into the base plate. A compact, modularly constructed building block system is achieved which is functionally reliable and easy to maintain.

A switching device controlling at least one hydraulically operating apparatus has two check valves working in opposition to one another in a feed conduit and a discharge conduit, respectively. The conduits are connected to the operating apparatus, as well as to a pilot valve. Two openable nonreturn valves are connected parallel to the two check valves. The control line of one openable nonreturn valve is connected to the blocking connection of the other openable nonreturn valve. The switching device is especially for controlling a hydraulic cylinder to provide a float setting at low cost, with reliable operation, and with few components.

A two-way flow control valve has an independent adjustment for the volume of a throughput fluid flow and a pick-up of the pressure at the entrance or inlet of the valve. This fluid pressure generates at least one force component acting on a correcting element, opposing the effective force of an accumulator and opposing the effective force of the fluid pressure generated at the outlet of the valve. With the correcting element, the volume of throughput fluid flow can be controlled at the outlet of the valve.
