The invention relates to a physically active patch having a planar substrate which is provided on one side with an adhesive layer, a first electrode being arranged, at least in regions, on the side of the substrate remote from the adhesive layer, then above said electrode, at least in regions, a layer formed from a piezoelectric, quasi-piezoelectric and/or electro-strictive polymer material, and above same, at least in regions, a second electrode.

Physically active patch, methods of manufacturing same and its use

A novel solar cell is shown, along with a method for the manufacture thereof, whereby molecules whose presence are to be verified and/or substances are deposited on such solar cells and are influenced by chemical or physical parameters to cause a change in the original electric parameters of the solar cells, such as photoelectric current or photoelectric voltage which facilitates the detection of chemical, biochemical and/or physical perimeters and substances on the solar cells. The sensitive molecules and/or substances, under certain conditions, also produce color or transmission changes, so that the photoelectric current of the solar cells change and, therefore can also be used as an indicator.

Solar cell sensors, process for their manufacture and their use

Information storage unit comprising a substrate with applied thereon a polymer layer (active polymer layer) which is polarisable by a focussed electron beam, the active polymer layer being a component of a multilayer, said multilayer comprising an active polymer layer of at least one to a maximum of fifteen electrically-insulating layers and at least one to a maximum of fifteen electrically conductive and/or semiconductive layers in an optional layer sequence, on condition that the active layer is disposed between at least one electrically-insulating layer and at least one conductive or semiconductive layer.

Information storage device

The invention relates to a method and a corresponding device for inscribi reading, and erasing information from an information storage layer through use of an electrical field. The information storage layer includes a polarisable polymer film for an active layer. The dipoles are initially oriented in a unipolar manner. Inscription of the information is effected by the application of an opposing electrical field to the active layer. Readout of the different polarisation conditions is effected optically, the phase position of the emitted light of the optical second harmonic being detected by an interferometric process. The information on the storage layer may be deleted by an electrical polarisation process.

Method of inscribing and readout of information in an information

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement which are of importance in the polarization of shaped articles from polymers. The shaped articles from polymers, polarized by the method as per invention, are finding effective application in electroacoustic converters, piezoelectric switches and in proving electromagnetic radiation within a broad spectral zone. It is possible to obtain by the method as per invention and, respectively, the arrangement as per invention, above-average values for polarization as well as for the piezoelectrical and pyroelectrical coefficients. The arrangement as described, and respectively, the method as described are characterized by the use of charge-limiting polarization capacitors.
