An aqueous ink composition includes a film-forming retardation additive, which enhances the pigment efficiency in the ink composition. A method for making such an ink and a method of printing with such an ink are also disclosed.

Aqueous ink composition

The present invention relates to a pre-treatment liquid providing improved spreading property when printing an ink-jet image, as well as an ink-jet printing method comprising applying the pre-treatment liquid of the invention on a recording medium prior to printing an ink-jet image and a method of pre-treating a recording medium, comprising pre-treating a recording medium with the pre-treatment liquid of the invention. With the present pre-treatment liquid a combination an improved spreading of the ink on the pre-treated recording medium can be achieved.

Aqueous inkjet primering composition providing both pinning and ink spreading functionality

An inkjet printing assembly is configured for direct inkjet printing on a recording medium and for indirect inkjet printing via an intermediate medium. The inkjet printing assembly comprises a transport path for transporting a print medium. Further, a control unit is provided for selecting the print medium, wherein the print medium is may at least be a recording medium or an intermediate medium. An inkjet print station is provided and arranged along the transport path for providing droplets of a liquid on the print medium. A transfer station is provided and configured for transferring the droplets of the liquid from an intermediate medium to a recording medium. A recording medium output station is provided for receiving the printed recording medium.

Printing assembly for direct and indirect inkjet printing

An ink-jet printing method includes printing an image with at least one ink on a recording medium, and applying a cover liquid on the image formed with the at least one ink within 1 s after printing the image with the at least one ink. An ink-jet printing apparatus includes at least one printing unit for printing an image with at least one ink on a recording medium, and an application unit for applying a cover liquid on the image formed with the at least one ink.

Preventing bleeding of multi-color print by in-line jetting

Disclosed is a copolyester which is the reaction product of a mixture having from between 30 and 50 mol % of a first monomer being an isohexide; between 40 and 60 mol % of a second monomer being an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or a cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid; and between 1 and 20 mol % of a third monomer being an aliphatic diol, the copolyester having an acid number of between 10 and 50. Also disclosed is a process for preparing such copolyesters, a latex composition containing such a copolyester, a method for preparing such a latex composition and the use of a particular latex as an (ink-jet) ink.
