A squat exercise apparatus may comprise a support structure, a user adjustable resistance source and lift arms supported by the support structure and operably coupled to the user adjustable resistance source. In one implementation, the lift arms may be pivotable relative to the support structure about three orthogonal axes. In one implementation, shoulder pads carried by the lift arms may automatically pivot in response to pivoting of the lift arms relative to the support structure. In one implementation, at least one weight movement arm may have an adjustable length. In one implementation, a weight movement arm rest may be pivotable between a weight movement arm engaging position and a retracted position, wherein interacting portions of the weight movement arm rest and the weight movement arm are magnetically attracted to one another to magnetically retain the weight movement arm rest in the weight movement arm engaging position.

Squat exercise apparatus

A non-impact exercise device comprising a framework, resistance assembly, and a pivoting assembly. The pivoting assembly contains a pair of link arms pivotally coupled to a pair of foot support members. The link arms have handles for the user to grip and the foot support members have foot platforms for the user to stand upon. The foot platforms have a wheel attached to them and the wheel rests upon curved or arced ramps of the exercise device. The user exercises by putting force into the device through the handles and/or foot platforms. This causes the foot platforms to roll along the ramps while the user is standing upon the foot platforms. The user may readily vary the length and frequency of the reciprocating stride.

Exercise device with pivoting assembly

A highly versatile exercise apparatuses is disclosed. More particularly, the invention relates to an exercise apparatus including a central weight stack and opposed extension arms. Upper and lower pulleys direct a cable into the opposed extension arms such that variations in the cable reaction and tension are minimized when either arm is moved.

Cable crossover exercise apparatus

A highly versatile exercise apparatuses is disclosed. More particularly, the invention relates to a cable crossover exercise apparatus including a central weight stack and opposed extension arms. The invention also relates to a functional lift exercise apparatus including a central weight stack and substantially parallel extension arms. The invention further relates to a cable type exercise apparatus employing a pulley assembly with a 4:1 load ratio.

The present invention is directed to an exercise apparatus that includes a frame housing a weight stack. A sliding assembly is coupled to the frame and weight stack. The sliding assembly includes, but is not limited to, a guide column, a sliding element disposed on the guide column, a pulley attached to the sliding element, a first mount disposed at one end of the guide column, a second mount coupled to the sliding element, and a first cable disposed in the pulley. The first cable has a first end attached to one end of the guide column, an intermediate portion disposed in the pulley, and a second end terminating in a handle. A second cable may have a first end attached to the sliding element or the first mount and a second end attached to the weight stack. In one embodiment, the guide column, first mount, and second mount are rotatable independently of each other.

Exercise apparatus with sliding pulley

An exercise apparatus is disclosed including a base structure having a central support member with a first end and a second end to which a vertically oriented resistance assembly is secured. The apparatus also includes a cable having a first strand and a second strand. The cable links a user to the resistance assembly for the application of resistance as the user moves through an exercise routine. The first and second strands exit the resistance assembly at a position adjacent an upper end of the resistance assembly for engagement by the user at a position above the shoulders of the user. The apparatus further includes a user support structure having an upwardly extending support post. The support post includes a first end secured to the central support member and a second end. The support post further includes a rearward side facing away from the weight stack upon which is mounted a user support pad shaped and dimensioned for supporting a user's back as the user stands facing away from the resistance during an exercise routine. A family of exercise apparatuses is also disclosed.

Standing abdominal exercise apparatus

An exercise apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a base structure having a central support member secured to a vertically oriented resistance assembly with a resistance member. The apparatus further includes a cable linking the resistance member to a user interface coupled to an end of the cable. A first pulley is pivotally mounted adjacent a lower end of the resistance assembly. The cable passes over the first pulley to direct the cable toward the lower body of an individual using the exercise apparatus. The first pulley also includes a cylindrical member through which the cable passes such that the cable extends substantially along an it axis about which the first pulley pivots.

Quad/hamstring exercise apparatus

An exercise apparatus for performing squat type exercises is disclosed. The apparatus includes a base supporting a resistance assembly and a pivoting user engaging assembly. A cable assembly links the user engaging assembly to the resistance assembly for applying resistance as a user performs an exercising routine. The user engaging assembly includes an upwardly extending post and a pivot arm secured to a free end of the upwardly extending post. The user engaging assembly further includes a locking assembly integrally associated with the pivot arm assembly for controlling the pivotal movement of the pivot arm.

An exercise apparatus including a base structure having a resistance assembly and a user support member is disclosed. The apparatus further includes a first user interface pivotally mounted to the base structure for rotation about a first axis at a position allowing an exerciser to comfortably sit upon the user support member, extend a leg and engage the first user interface. The first user interface includes a distal end to which a foot plate is secured and a central pivot which rotates about a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The apparatus also includes a cable linking the first user interface to the resistance assembly for the application of resistance as the user rotates the first user interface by extending a foot to exercise the user's calf muscle.
