An in-dash radio installation kit, for installing a radio to a vehicle dash, comprises: a box-like molded plastic frame including walls comprising end walls and a main front panel interconnecting the end walls; through openings in certain of the walls to pass fasteners that connect external brackets to the walls; and ribs integral with and outstanding from those certain walls and extending frontwardly and rearwardly toward the openings, whereby corresponding grooves in the brackets may closely interfit the ribs to block twisting of the brackets.
