A safety razor is provided having a handle, a cartridge mounted to the handle and a pair of primary guards joined to the cartridge, each of the primary guards having a plurality of fins that define a plurality of fin slots. The safety razor also includes one or more primary shaving blades mounted to the cartridge and positioned adjacent the pair of primary guards. A shaving aid retention guard is positioned between the pair of primary guards. The shaving aid retention guard has a plurality of walls defining a plurality of guard slots, wherein a width of the guard slots is greater than the width of the fin slots.

A wet shaving razor comprising a handle having a proximate and distal end, a razor cartridge mounted at the proximate end of the handle. The cartridge further includes 1) a housing having a front wall, a rear wall, and opposing side walls joining said front and rear walls; 2) a plurality of razor blades, each blade having a sharpened cutting edge and wherein said blades are disposed in a parallel arrangement extending between said side walls; and 3) an abrasion material comprising a plurality of geometric, three-dimensional, microstructures wherein said material is disposed adjacent to said front wall and forward of said blades.

A safety razor has a blade unit having at least one blade with a sharp cutting edge. A dielectric handle is configured to carry the blade unit and a conductive ground member is disposed within the handle. The safety razor has an electrically operated device. An electrical arrangement having a sensor electrically coupled to the blade unit and the ground member senses skin contact with the blade unit and actuates the device based on the sensing.

Shaving razors and cartridges are featured that include one or more shaving aid portions. In some instances, the razors and cartridges include a shaving aid holder, configured to allow the shaving aid portion to deflect when pressure is applied to a surface of the shaving aid portion during shaving.

An ink cartridge () for a reservoir pen has a body () which encloses an ink-chamber () that is initially sealed near the front end of the cartridge by a closure formed by a plug (). The plug () sealingly engages in an axial bore () which is open to the front end of the cartridge and is slidably mounted in the cartridge body () so as to be moved rearwardly by engagement with a peg () upon insertion of the cartridge () into a pen, thereby allowing ink flow from the ink chamber () through the bore () and to a writing tip () of a nib () of the pen. The peg () is sized so as to form a seal with the inner surface of the bore () when fully inserted thereinto.

Reservoir pens and ink cartridges therefor

A reservoir pen includes a nib, a feed bar defining an ink channel and having an ink port, and a valve for controlling flow of ink from the ink port to an underside of the nib. The valve includes a seat, a valve member, and a resilient element engaging the valve member to bias the valve member away from the ink port toward an open position. The valve member is further positioned to engage the nib to urge the valve member against the resilient element and into sealing contact with the seat. The resilient member is disposed outside of the ink channel in at least the open position.

A non-erasable liquid ink for a marking instrument including a colorant and a solvent and having a water content of about 0-15% by weight and a viscosity of about 15 to 4,500 cps. Also disclosed is a marking instrument filled with an ink of such a viscosity or lower in its reservoir.

A correction fluid bottle (1) has a neck insert (4) defining a passage through which an applicator brush can be passed, and an inner end of the insert is terminated in a steeply inclined plane to define a tapered protrusion (15) extending into the bottle for drops of fluid running back through the neck to collect at the free end of the protrusion and fall back into the bottle, thereby avoiding a build up of dried fluid at the inner end of the neck.

A writing instrument having an elongated barrel comprised of an outer portion and an inner portion, rotatable relative one to the other. The point or writing tip is fixed to the barrel inner portion, disposed at an angle to, and may be offset from, the centerline of the barrel outer portion. The barrel inner portion is caused to rotate and move axially relative to the barrel outer portion by pressure on the writing instrument, or weights attached to the barrel inner portion, to bring the point into desired alignment during the writing process. Further pressure on the point or writing tip causes the barrel inner portion to move to a rearwardmost position at which rotation of the point or writing tip is impeded by a gripping structure.
