The present disclosure relates to sealing arrangements for sealing locations where cables enter/exit enclosures. The sealing arrangements can include first and second cable sealing modules each including a cable sealing surface. The cable sealing surfaces of the first and second cable sealing modules oppose and contact one another at a cable pass-through sealing interface. The sealing arrangements can be adapted to enhance cable diameter range-taking, sealant conformability, and/or sealant recovery from deformation.

Fiber optic splice closures adapted to house a large number of fiber splices. The closure holds a splice assembly including a support frame that supports two stacks of splice trays. The splice assembly can be inverted to access the second stack of splice trays. The support frame can also define one or more fiber organizing areas within the splice closure.

A telecommunications enclosure is provided with reliable sealing around cables entering therein. The enclosure includes one or more cable ports with cable seals made from a material that includes an oil-bleed silicone rubber. An enclosure system for receiving a cable includes an enclosure having an inner chamber and an open position exposing the inner chamber and a closed position covering the inner chamber. A cable receiving port in a wall of the enclosure extends along a longitudinal axis from outside of the enclosure into the inner chamber. The cable receiving port is configured to receive a cable therein when the cable is advanced axially into the port without rotation of the cable when the enclosure is in the closed position. A mating member is associated with the cable receiving port that limits rotation of the cable when the cable is advanced axially into the port. An axial retention member is associated with the cable receiving port that limits axial movement of the cable out of the port when the cable is advanced axially into the port to a lock position.

Cable enclosure systems, plugs and methods for using the same

A multi-drop closure system for containing and managing a bundle of optical fibers includes an enclosure and a slack basket system. The enclosure defines a slack basket chamber to hold the bundle of optical fibers. The slack basket system includes a retainer tab assembly mounted in the enclosure. The retainer tab assembly includes a tab member movable between: an open position, wherein the tab member is positioned to provide more open access to the slack basket chamber and thereby enable the bundle of optical fibers to be more easily inserted into, removed from, and/or manipulated in the slack basket chamber; and a retaining position, wherein the tab member overlaps the slack basket chamber to retain the bundle of optical fibers in the slack basket chamber.

A clamping device for connecting a cable to a strain relief member includes a housing having a retention member extending therefrom. The retention member is configured to be inserted in a mating opening in the strain relief member and to be secured thereto. A connector is configured to connect the cable to the housing.

A fiber optic splice enclosure system includes an enclosure and first and second endplate assemblies. The enclosure defines an enclosure chamber. The first and second endplate assemblies are adapted to be interchangeably mounted on the enclosure to provide different respective configurations for connecting fiber optic cables to the enclosure.

An optical fiber termination apparatus includes a body portion having an optical fiber outlet therein and a connector receiving portion extending from the body portion and having an outer wall defining an optical fiber connector receiving chamber and having an opening to the connector receiving chamber at an end thereof spaced from the body portion. An optical connector is positioned in the opening, wherein the opening is configured to receive the optical connector therein without rotating the optical connector relative to the connector receiving portion. A sealing member is positioned between the optical connector and the outer wall of the connector receiving portion to seal a gap therebetween. A cover is positioned on the optical connector and the connector receiving portion that retains the optical connector in the opening and compresses the sealing member between the outer wall of the connector receiving portion and the optical connector without rotating the optical connector relative to the connector receiving portion.

Optical fiber termination apparatus and methods for using the same

An optical fiber termination apparatus includes a housing defining an optical fiber receiving chamber and having a connector adaptor receiving opening. A connector adaptor is positioned in the connector adaptor receiving opening. The connector adaptor has a connector opening therein extending from outside the housing to the optical fiber receiving chamber. The connector opening is configured to mate with a connector of a predetermined connector type. Methods of terminating optical fiber using optical fiber termination apparatus are also provided.

Cable arrangements include a length of springy cable looped in aarrangement with an intermediate cross-over section between respective first and second looped sections of the cable. Thearrangement enables withdrawal of the cable from the arrangement with no more than a single twist of the cable to limit accumulated net linear twist of the cable while linearly extending the cable. The first and second looped sections may be positioned overlapping each other to provide a substantially toroidal shaped cable arrangement. An optical device may be provided on one or both of the ends of the length of cable. The springy cable may be a fiber optic cable, such as flat drop cable. Cable products, enclosures and methods of forming a cable arrangement are also provided.
