Sleep alerts associated with an alarm can be scheduled using a first electronic device. Once scheduled, data can be collected from a second electronic device. This data can be used to determine an appropriate device, other than the first electronic device, at which the sleep alert can be presented. Once determined, the information can be sent to the appropriate device for presenting the sleep alert.

Scheduling device for customizable electronic notifications

An alarm application is described. A user interface of the alarm application may be presented that includes a generic alarm option and a sleep alarm option. A first view of the user interface may be presented that includes generic alarm related options when the generic alarm option is selected. A second view of the user interface may be presented that includes sleep alarm related options when the sleep alarm option is selected.

Scheduling customizable electronic notifications

Parameters of a display may be adjusted in response to accessing a time value corresponding to an electronic device that includes the display. A brightness value of the display may be adjusted based on the time value to maintain a display characteristic value within a predefined range and below a threshold. The display characteristic value may be independently controllable by one of the brightness or the color temperature of the display. A set of red green blue (RGB) color values of the display may be adjusted independent of the adjustment to the brightness value to maintain the display characteristic value within the predefined range and below the threshold while maintaining the brightness value of the display. In some examples, the RGB color values of the display may be adjusted at approximately the same time as the adjustment of the set of RGB color values of the display is performed.

Adjustment of display parameters

An adjustable alarm indicator of an alarm application is described. The adjustable alarm indicator may be presented in connection with an alarm setting sequence. The adjustable alarm indicator may include a variable element having a variable annular shape, a first element associated with a first end of the variable element, and a second element associated with a second end of the variable element. The first element may be independently moveable to adjust the size of the variable element. The second element also may be independently moveable to adjust the size of the variable element.

An electronic device may include a display and control circuitry that operates the display. The control circuitry may be configured to daltonize input images to produce daltonized output images that allow a user with color vision deficiency to see a range of detail that the user would otherwise miss. The daltonization algorithm that the control circuitry applies to input images may be specific to the type of color vision deficiency that the user has. The daltonization strength that the control circuitry applies to the image or portions of the image may vary based on image content. For example, natural images may be daltonized with a lower daltonization strength than web browsing content, which ensures that memory colors such as blue sky and green grass do not appear unnatural to the user while still allowing important details such as hyperlinks and highlighted text to be distinguishable.

An adjustable alarm indicator of an alarm application is described. The adjustable alarm indicator may be presented in connection with an alarm setting sequence. The adjustable alarm indicator may include a variable element having a variable annular shape, a first element associated with a first end of the variable element, and a second element associated with a second end of the variable element. The second element may be dependently moveable to cause the first element, the second element, and the variable element to move.

An electronic device may include a display and control circuitry that operates the display. The control circuitry may be configured to daltonize input images to produce daltonized output images that allow a user with color vision deficiency to see a range of detail that the user would otherwise miss. The daltonization algorithm may be specific to the type and severity of color vision deficiency that the user has. The control circuitry may conduct a color vision assessment using the display. The color vision assessment may include a sequence of test images that are each displayed for a predetermined period of time before moving to the next test image in the sequence. Each test image may include a color patch on a neutral background. A predetermined number of severity levels for each type of color vision deficiency may be tested during the color vision assessment.
