Disclosed herein are assemblies for cup holders which include a cup holder body defining a receptacle, and a compressible bumper including a contact portion and a tab extending from the contact portion and through a slot formed in the cup holder body to retain the contact portion of the compressible bumper within the receptacle of the cup holder body. Further disclosed herein are assemblies for a vehicle including a center console and a cup holder assembly provided within the center console, the cup holder assembly including a cup holder body defining a receptacle, and a compressible bumper including a contact portion and a tab extending from the contact portion and through a slot formed in the cup holder body to retain the contact portion of the compressible bumper within the receptacle of the cup holder body.

A storage compartment comprising a housing, a lid, a lid damper, a storage tray, and a tray damper. The lid damper pivotally couples the lid to the housing about a pivot axis such that the lid is moveable between an open position and closed position. The tray damper pivotally couples the storage tray to housing about the pivot axis such that the storage tray is moveable between a lowered position and a raised position independent of the lid.

A palm rest assembly includes a palm rest bracket and a palm rest pad. The palm rest assembly is for a console assembly of a vehicle. The center console assembly includes a console frame. The palm rest bracket includes a generally C-shape. The palm rest bracket includes a base wall, a side wall, and an upper wall. The base wall is mounted to the console frame. The side wall extends between the base wall and the upper wall such that the upper wall is cantilevered. The palm rest pad is coupled to the upper wall.

A console box includes a box body that includes an opening portion, a lid supported by a hinge shaft on the box body, and an opening/closing mechanism that tilts the lid. The opening/closing mechanism includes a main rack that includes an engaging portion and a sub-rack that includes an engaged portion. When the lid is tilted between an opened position and a closed position, the engaged portion engages the engaging portion and restricts sliding of the sub-rack on the main rack. When the lid is further tilted from the closed position in a closing direction in which the lid closes the opening portion and when the lid is further tilted from the opened position in an opening direction in which the lid opens the opening portion, the engaged portion is disengaged from the engaging portion to cancel the restriction imposed on the sub-rack by the main rack.

Console box

A trim strip for lining an opening of an interior panel for a vehicle includes a first trim segment having a panel engaging side and an exposed side. A second trim segment extends outwardly from the first trim segment at a first end of the first trim segment. The second trim segment has a panel engaging side and an exposed side. A third trim segment extends outwardly from the first trim segment at a second, opposite end of the first trim segment. The third trim segment has a panel engaging side and an exposed side. A detachable support member is connected to the second trim segment along a first line of weakness and to the third trim segment along a second line of weakness. The detachable support member includes a datum member arranged and configured to be engaged by a panel datum member during installation of the trim strip at the opening to align and maintain spacing between the second and third trim segments. The detachable support member is removable from the first and second trim segments along the first and second lines of weakness.

Self-aligning trim strips for vehicle instrument panel assemblies

A wireless charging system includes a charging pad including a base having a coil. The charging pad includes an electrical connector connected to the coil for supplying power to the coil. The charging pad can be connected by an AC cord to a household AC outlet via the electrical connector. The charging pad can also be connected to a vehicle connector for connecting the charging pad to a vehicle electrical supply. In this manner, the wireless charging pad can be used for both home and vehicle charging.

The tray is adapted for use in a host system which supplies power to the tray. In a preferred embodiment, the host system is or is utilized in a vehicle.

Recharging or connection tray for portable electronic devices

A storage container having a pivotable door pivotable between an open and closed position is provided. The storage container includes a housing configured to hold the pivotable door and a biasing member operable to bias the pivotable door between the open and closed position. A mount is disposed on the pivotable door. The mount includes a loading member. The biasing member is operatively connected to the mount. The biasing member is configured to engage the loading member so as to retain the biasing member in a fixed position with respect to the pivotable door prior to assembling the pivotable door to the housing. A method for installing or assembling a storage container having a pivotable door is also provided.
