The disclosure is of a conveyor belting particularly useful in conveying edible dough and bakery articles made therefrom during bakery operations. The belting comprises a base of interwoven polyester yarns to which there has been needled a surface of a batt of non-woven polypropylene fibers.

The disclosure is of a high performance speaker diaphragm which comprises needled and interlocked textile staple fibers of a first, relatively heat-resistant fiber and a second, heat-softenable fiber. The fibers are molded together to soften the second fiber whereby it interlocks with the first fiber.

The disclosure is of a method of adhering a textile tennis ball cover to a tennis ball core. The method comprises providing a core and a textile tennis ball cover for the core. A hot-melt adhesive is also provided, disposed in association with the cover material. The cover and adhesive are assembled on the core and the hot-melt adhesive caused to melt and form a bond between core and covering material. Upon solidifying, the adhesive adheres the cover to the core of the tennis ball with a high degree of tenacity. The method of the invention is advantageous over the prior art commercial methods, in terms of efficiency and economics.

A hot-melt adhesive is also provided as a structural component of the cover material. Upon re-solidifying, the adhesive adheres the cover to the core of the tennis ball with a high degree of tenacity.

The disclosure is of a method of making air filter fabrics from non-woven, thermoplastic, synthetic polymeric resin, staple textile fibers and of the fabrics so made. The method comprises providing a non-woven web of the fibers, coating the fibers with a fiber stabilizing agent, pressing the fibers together so as to rupture the film at cross-over points and fusing the fibers together at the sites of the ruptured film. The product filter fabrics are characterized by controlled high permeability, strength, wear resistance, dimensional stability, lint free surfaces and advantageous particle release properties.
