Methods and other embodiments associated with a web browser extension are described. One example browser extension includes a web form capture logic that identifies a web page that includes a form and an editable field on the form. The capture logic may acquire information about the field and about the form. This acquisition may include interacting with a user through a graphical user interface. The browser extension may also include a template logic to create a form-fill template based on the acquired information and a web form storage logic to store the template. The template may be referenced when a subsequent web page view involves a form-fill operation.

Embodiments described herein provide various features for a unified and simplified user experience. A first feature (or set of features) provides icons for launching or accessing applications and business flows. A second feature provides a unified menu system including an icon bar with thumbnails of a selected icon arranged adjacent to the icon bar. A third feature provides a framework for a menu that can expose application objects from diverse sources.

The browser extension may also include a menu logic to add a representation of the item to the menu in the second frame, to update a data structure with information concerning the updated menu, and to store information associated with the data structure in a fixed medium.

The toolbar may include, for example, a set of graphical user interface elements displayed in connection with a browser window. The browser extension may also include a sidebar logic to provide a sidebar. The browser extension may also include a coordination logic to coordinate the presentation and functionality of a combination of the toolbar and the sidebar to be provided to a browser. The presentation and functionality may be based, at least in part, on a selectable presentation mode and a selectable attachment mode.

One example browser extension includes a drag logic to identity an item to be uploaded from a local source to a remote destination. The browser extension may also include a drop logic to identify the remote destination. The browser extension may also include an upload logic to control the upload from the local source to the remote destination in response to the local item being dragged from a first graphical user interface (GUI) element associated with the browser and dropped on a second GUI element associated with the browser. The second GUI element may be managed, at least in part, by the browser extension.
