The technology described in this document can be embodied in a test strip for use in measuring a level of an ST2 cardiac biomarker in a blood plasma sample. The test strip includes a base, and a plurality of conjugates, wherein each conjugate includes a reporter group bound to a first antibody that binds to ST2. A conjugate pad disposed along a length of the base and is configured to hold the plurality of conjugates that bind with ST2 to produce conjugate-ST2 complexes. The conjugate pad is further configured to receive the blood plasma sample. The test strip also includes a plurality of second and third antibodies that bind to ST2, and the conjugate-ST2 complexes, respectively. The plurality of second antibodies are bound to a membrane in a test location and the plurality of third antibodies are bound to the membrane in a control location.

Test apparatus and methods for ST2 cardiac biomarker

The technology described in this document can be embodied in a test strip for use in measuring a level of an ST2 cardiac biomarker in a whole blood sample. The test strip includes a base, and a plurality of conjugates, wherein each conjugate includes a reporter group bound to a first antibody that binds to ST2. A conjugate pad holds the plurality of conjugates that bind with ST2 to produce conjugate-ST2 complexes. The test strip also includes a plurality of second antibodies that bind to ST2, and a plurality of third antibodies that bind to the conjugate-ST2 complexes. The plurality of second antibodies are bound to a membrane in a test location, and the plurality of third antibodies are bound to the membrane in a control location. A plasma separation pad passes blood plasma from a whole blood sample to the conjugate pad while inhibiting other components.

Provided herein are compositions, kits, methods and devices for cyanide detection, particularly for cyanide detection in biological samples such as whole blood. The method comprises (1) contacting a sample with a cobinamide conjugate comprising a cobinamide moiety and a carrier; and (2) measuring the absorbance of light by the cobinamide conjugate. The present disclosure provides field-deployable cyanide detection methods, compositions, kits and devices, which provide rapid, accurate readout at the point of contact. Further provided herein is a method for determining exposure of a subject to cyanide.

Kits and methods for cyanide detection

A competitive immunoassay, dye and method for rapidly detecting the presence of one or more target ligands within a fluid sample suspected of containing such ligand or ligands. The immunoassay comprises a protein-binding membrane, a first absorbent pad, a second absorbent pad, and a third absorbent pad. The protein-binding membrane has at least two regions of antibodies bound thereto for detecting dissimilar ligands. The second absorbent pad has formed therein a colloidal gold tracer having one, and preferably two or more ligand analog protein complexes adhering thereto. To utilize the system, the immunoassay strip is placed within a fluid sample. To the extent the target ligand is absent, a visual indicator will be provided signaling such absence. To the extent the target ligand is present at or above a threshold level, no such visual signal will be produced.
