The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for enabling advanced analytics with large datasets. One computer-implemented method includes receiving, by operation of a computer system, a dataset of multiple data records, each of the plurality of data records comprising one or more features and a target variable; selecting key features among the one or more features based at least on relevance measures of the one or more features with respect to the target variable; dividing the dataset into multiple subsets; for each of the multiple subsets, identifying a number of clusters and respective centroids of the number of clusters based on the key features; identifying a number of final centroids based on the respective centroids of the number of clusters for the each of the number of subsets, the number of final centroids being respective centroids of a number of final clusters; and for each data record in the multiple subsets, assigning the data record to one of the number of final clusters based on distances between the data record and the number of final centroids.

Enabling advanced analytics with large data sets

A receiver node is operable to receive rateless encoded data packets from a transmitter node. The receiver node includes estimation logic operable to estimate a transiting number of rateless encoded data packets transiting between the receiver node and the transmitter node; determining logic operable to determine an acknowledgement number of received rateless encoded data packets, the acknowledgement number of received rateless encoded data packets including a difference between a decoding number of rateless encoded data packets estimated to be required from a batch of rateless encoded data packets to decode the rateless encoded data packets from the batch and the transiting number of rateless encoded data packets; and acknowledgement logic operable to transmit an acknowledgement to the transmitter node to cause the transmitter node to cease transmission of rateless encoded data packets from the batch of rateless encoded data packets when a received number of received rateless encoded data packets from the batch of rateless encoded data packets achieves the acknowledgement number of received rateless encoded data packets.

The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for detecting anomalies in an Internet-of-Things (IoT) network. One computer-implemented method includes receiving, by operation of a computer system, a dataset of a plurality of data records, each of the plurality of data records comprising a plurality of features and a target variable, the plurality of features and target variable including information of a manufacturing environment; identifying a set of normal data records from the dataset based on the target variable; identifying inter-feature correlations by performing correlation analysis on the set of normal data records; and detecting anomaly based on the inter-feature correlations for predictive maintenance.

Detecting anomalies in an internet of things network

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling the transmit power of a mobile station (UEX) served by a small cell (C). In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, the method comprises the steps of, and the apparatus comprises means for, detecting a measurement event anticipating the forthcoming fulfillment of a handover condition towards a neighboring macro cell (C) by the mobile station, and thereupon step-wise increasing the transmit power level of the mobile station so as to reach a transmit power target (P_Target) when the handover condition is eventually fulfilled by the mobile station. The transmit power target is for compensating for an estimated downlink path loss for the mobile station in the macro cell. The apparatus typically forms part of a radio access point () configured to operate the small cell, such as a femto base station to be operated in residential or business premises, or a pico, metro or micro base station to provide increased capacity in a targeted area of data traffic concentration.
