A system and a method provide an orientation of a camera on a mobile device. This information can be used in an augmented reality application. The method comprises obtaining an orientation measurement from a sensor relative to the orientation of the sensor. The sensor may have different orientation compared to the camera and, thus, the orientation measurement needs to be adjusted. An appropriate transformation matrix is obtained, which maps the orientation measurement to the camera's perspective. A processor of the mobile device computes the orientation of the camera using the orientation measurement and the transformation matrix.

System and method for providing orientation of a camera

A mobile telecommunications device is provided. The mobile telecommunications device comprises a light sensor and a calculation component. Adjustments to at least one of the brightness of a display screen on the mobile telecommunications device and the backlighting of a keypad on the mobile telecommunications device are based on light sensed by the light sensor. The calculation component is configured to receive a light level measurement from the light sensor and generate a photography-related output based on the light level measurement.

Navigation between a plurality of property sheets on a display of a mobile electronic device, each of the property sheets having a tab index and a layout defining a plurality of elements. One of the property sheets is a displayed property sheet and one of the elements is a current active element. Navigation includes (i) storing the tab index of the displayed property sheet as a current tab index; (ii) detecting a soft key event; regardless of which of the elements is a current active element, (iii) modifying the current tab index based on a soft key identifier of the soft key event to create an updated tab index; and (iv) displaying another property sheet of the plurality of property sheets on the display, the another property sheet having a tab index equal to the updated tab index.
