A device having an upper plate comprising a top face and a bottom face with an opening. A lower plate comprising a top face and a bottom face substantially parallel to the upper plate, with an opening. A middle plate between and substantially parallel to the upper plate and lower plate, capable of moving with respect to the upper plate and lower plate, and having a top face a bottom face and at least one opening. A plurality of gaskets configured to electrically connect the upper plate, the middle, plate, and the lower plate and provide an interface that is designed to allow the middle plate to slide substantially parallel to the upper plate and the lower plate. At least one waveguide through the at least one opening of the middle plate.

Movable shielded cable egress

A grounded belt and drawer apparatus including a drawer, mounted on a first track, a tensioner body having a first pulley, a supporting member, and a first belt. The drawer moveable on a first line in a first direction and a second direction. The tensioner body mounted on a second track and moveable in the first direction and the second direction. The first belt having a first end and a second end, rounded over the first pulley, and a first segment and second segment extending distally from the first pulley in the first direction. The first belt conductively connected to the drawer and to a first fixed point which forms a conductive path from the drawer to the first fixed point.

Grounded belt and movable drawer apparatus

A method, system, and structure are provided for implementing a flex circuit cable and connector with a dual shielded air plenum. A flex circuit cable is provided with a connector. The flex circuit cable includes a stack of three spaced flex cable members with a plurality of gasket separators that are configured to form a pair of air plenums between the inner flex cable member and the respective outer flex cable members carrying cooling air coupled to the connector. The respective outer flex cable members together with the gasket separators provide a shielding function.

Implementing flex circuit cable and connector with dual shielded air plenum

A method and circuit for implementing a coded time domain transmission distance meter, and a design structure on which the subject circuit resides are provided. A first transmitter module connected to a cable at a first point or power outlet, generates and sends a testing coded pulse onto the power cable. A second receiver module connected to the cable at a second point, receives the testing coded pulse, and returns a receiver response coded pulse to the transmitter module. The first transmitter module determines the round-trip elapsed time, subtracts a receiver latency time, and calculates a distance to the second receiver module. Encoded in the testing coded pulse are data representing the last calculated distance. Both the first transmitter module and the second receiver module include a display for displaying the calculated distance.

Implementing a coded time domain transmission distance meter

Disclosed is an electrical measurement probe including two probe blocks, each probe block having a connection face and a measurement face. Each probe block also includes a plurality of spring loaded pogo pins. Each pogo pin has a first end that extends to the connection face and a second end that protrudes from the measurement face. The two probe blocks are attached to a top plate. The top plate is attached to a face of each probe block opposite to the measurement face of the probe block.

Versatile materials probe

A modular line filter connector is provided for implementing adaptable three-phase power filtering. A plurality of selected modular components defines the modular line filter connector. The modular line filter connector includes a pair of outer cylinders providing power filtering connections including, for example, line-to-line connections, line-to-common connections, common-to-protective earth connections, and line-to-protective earth connections. The selected modular components are mounted between the pair of outer cylinders and disposed along the length of the modular line filter connector. Different modular components are selected to adapt the modular line filter connector for different filtering applications.

Implementing adaptable three phase modular line filtering

A method for installing a bonding pad as a gasket for an electronic subassembly includes providing a bonding pad comprising an expandable foam; an air-tight bladder covering at least one side of the expandable foam; a layer of conductive material covering the air-tight bladder and comprising at least one contact point; and an open port; removing air from the air-tight bladder, thereby compressing the expandable foam; installing the bonding pad into a gap between two surfaces; allowing the compressed foam to expand under atmospheric pressure; and electrically bonding the two surfaces with the bonding pad.

Method of using bonding pad as a gasket for electronic subassemblies

An electrically conductive shock mount system for electrical subassemblies is provided. The shock mount system includes a first assembly having a housing containing a hook member for a hook and loop fastener. The second assembly has a housing containing a loop member for a hook and loop fastener. A plurality of holes in the housings of the first and second assemblies allows the hook member to engage the loop member. In one embodiment, the housings are made from a conductive fabric and include a plurality of conductive columns that extend through the housings.

Conductive hook and loop shockmount system

An apparatus is provided for grounding one or more cables, each cable having a cable jacket surrounding an electrically conductive layer that includes an exposed portion not covered by the cable jacket. The apparatus comprises an electrically conductive enclosure coupled to a ground potential and having an opening therethrough, a plurality of electrical conductors disposed across the opening to form a lattice, and an electrically conductive connection. The lattice is configured to receive the one or more cables therethrough such that the exposed portion of the electrically conductive layer of each cable makes electrical contact with at least one of the electrical conductors. The connection is electrical coupled to the lattice and the enclosure such that the electrically conductive layer of each cable received through the lattice is electrically coupled to the ground potential through the lattice, the connection, and the enclosure.

Apparatus for grounding one or more cables

A permeable conductive shield providing protection from electromagnetic interference and electrostatic discharge has a laminated structure suitable for application to the foil side or the component side of a circuit board. The laminated structure includes an array of foam spacers arranged with spaces between them, a layer of foam attached to the top of the spacers, a first insulating sheet on the layer of foam spacers; a conductive sheet on the first insulating sheet, and a second insulating sheet on the conductive sheet. Each of the layers has a multiplicity of through holes aligned with corresponding through holes in the other layers and with the spaces between the foam spacers so as to allow airflow through the structure. The layers are bonded together with intervening adhesive layers. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to the bottom of the spacers for attaching the permeable conductive shield to the circuit board.
