A cutting tool adapted to be deployed into a well casing for cutting through casing strings comprises a nozzle for directing a jet of an abrasive slurry at the wall of a well casing to sever the well casing and a mechanical locking arranged provided above the nozzle, said locking arrangement comprises radially expandable means selectively engageable with an inner wall of the well casing within which the tool is deployed, to prevent axial and/or rotational movement of the tool in the well during cutting operations.

Cutting tool

A vacuum cleaner having a filter assemblydisposed on grillbetween the bag chamberand motor chamber. Bag chamberhas a cover. Filter assemblyhas an upstanding wallprovided with a covering of resilient material, e.g. rubber. The coveris formed with a grillin a lower region. When the filter assembly is correctly installed, and the coveris in position, the resilient covering of the upstanding wallrests in sealing contact against the inner surface of the coverand over the grill. If the filter assemblyis absent, the grillprovides direct fluid communication between the bag chamberand the atmosphere. The cleaner will be ineffective in picking up dirt thereby alerting the user to the absence of the filter assembly.

A changeover valve, for an upright vacuum cleaner, comprises a movable valve member () connected via a flexible duct to a dirt separator of the cleaner, and a valve body () having inlet ports () connected, respectively, to an air inlet in the underside of a floor-engaging unit of the cleaner and, via a flexible hose, a suction nozzle of the cleaner. The valve member () is movable relative to the valve body () for selective alignment with either of the inlet ports ().

Vacuum cleaner

An upright vacuum cleaner comprises a body including a dust separator, a floor engaging head having a first dirty air inlet on its underside, a handle detachably mounted in a socket on the body and having a second dirty air inlet at its lower end, a flexible hose extending between the center of the handle and the body, a valve, and a valve actuator disposed in the socket for configuring the valve to connect the dust separator to the first or second inlets respectively when the handle is engaged and disengaged from the body. When engaged to the body, the upper end of handle is used to propel and guide the cleaner while suction is applied to the first dirty air inlet in the floor engaging head. Once detached, the handle is immediately ready for use as a tool for above-floor cleaning without the user having to manually divert the suction or fit cleaning tools.
