A vehicle includes a trailer assembly supported by a rear chassis system. The rear chassis system includes a chassis frame having at least two longitudinal chassis members. The rear chassis system includes a rear suspension frame coupled to a back rear axle. The rear suspension frame includes a bearing head with a bearing aperture. Equalizing beams extend between the front rear axle and the back rear axle, with each equalizing beam including a bushing aperture. The rear chassis system also includes a plurality of suspension mounts. To minimize relative translations experienced by the suspension mounts during operation of the vehicle, opposing end sections of a spindle cross member, along with the bearing aperture and the bushing aperture are coaxially aligned. Likewise, the opposing spindle end sections, the bearing aperture, the bushing aperture, and a top plate of each suspension mount are coplanar.

An isolation mount assembly comprises a resilient member defining a central aperture that defines a load axis and an annular depression about the load axis, and an adapter plate including an outer mechanical attachment structure that defines a first thickness and an inner attachment structure that is closer to the load axis than the outer attachment structure along a direction that is perpendicular to the load axis and that defines a second thickness. The inner attachment structure is disposed in the annular depression and the second thickness is at least twice the first thickness.

A seal assembly and method of forming a seal assembly provides a seal body having reduced strain during use, thereby increasing service life. The seal body may be formed within certain parameters, such as ranges of height-to-thickness and offset-to-height ratios, which have been found to reduce strain. Additionally or alternatively, the seal body may be modified from an initial configuration to a pre-strained configuration by axially displacing an inner section of the seal with respect to an outer section of the seal, which also reduces strain.

Seal assembly and method for forming a seal assembly

A resilient mount including a first mounting member and a second mounting member is provided. The mount includes a first plurality of stiffening elements located between the first and second mounting members. At least a first stiffening element of the first plurality of stiffening elements is non-parallel to a second stiffening element of the first plurality of stiffening elements. Each of the first plurality of stiffening elements has a material thickness and an out-of-plane dimension that is greater than the material thickness. Each stiffening element of the first plurality of stiffening elements is substantially rigid so as to substantially limit the deformation of the stiffening element under load. The mount may also include a resilient material located between and coupled to adjacent stiffening elements of the first plurality of stiffening elements.

A resilient mount including a first mounting member and a second mounting member is provided. The mount may include a first plurality of stiffening elements located between the first and second mounting members. At least a first stiffening element may be non-parallel to a second stiffening element. The mount may also include a resilient material located between and coupled to adjacent stiffening elements of the first plurality of stiffening elements.

An oil control ring assembly having a sealing ring and a scraping is disposed within a groove in a piston. The scraping ring assembly has a scraping end portion and spaced apart ends defining a gap. The sealing ring has a sealing end portion and mated spaced apart radially stepped ends defining a stepped gap. The sealing end portion is connected to the scraping end portion and the stepped gap on the sealing ring is offset from the gap on the scraping ring. A spring applies a radial force to the scraping ring which urges the end portion of the scraping ring into engagement with the cylinder wall and a reaction force moment about the end portion forces the end portion of the of the seal ring into contact with an upper surface of the groove. The oil control ring assembly simultaneously provides for side and gap sealing.

An oil control ring assembly having a sealing ring and a scraping is disposed within a groove in a piston. The scraping ring assembly has a scraping end portion and spaced apart ends defining a gap. The sealing ring has a sealing end portion and mated spaced apart radially stepped ends defining a stepped gap. The stepped gap on the sealing ring is offset from the gap on the scraping ring. A spring positioned between an inner wall of the groove and the scraping ring biases the scraping ring at a specified tension. An alignment wire maintains misalignment between the stepped gap and the gap.
