Jump rope handles are described. In an embodiment, a speed rope includes a handle having a head rotationally coupled to a grip to rotate about a first axis, and a rope hinge rotationally coupled to the head. The rope hinge has a single degree of freedom relative to the head, and the single degree of freedom can be rotation of the rope hinge about a second axis. The rope hinge may include a cylindrical outer surface mounted in a pivot hole of the head to constrain movement of the rope hinge to rotation about the second axis. Accordingly, a rope held by the rope hinge can pivot about the second axis while simultaneously swinging around the first axis. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

An assembly has a frame with two ends and two rails with a drop section generally centered, a base plate spanning the rails at the drop sections, a turn table upon the base plate, a pivot tray upon the turn table, linkages upon the pivot tray, sections operatively connected to the linkages, spring panels upon the sections, and a mattress upon the section. Senior citizens, patients, and disabled persons find difficulty to enter and to climb out of bed and may frequently require assistance. When this problem occurs, others must assist a person and the assistance varies depending on the person's size, weight and degree of mobility. The present invention adapts easily to most standard bed frames and allows a patient to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise and then to a sitting position.

A combination wheelchair-walker having an upper frame; a lower frame comprised of two arc-shaped members, in which each arch-shaped member is configured to extend from the front of the device to the back of the device, each of the two arc-shaped members having a front end and a rear end; two front wheels; two rear caster wheels, each of which is attached to the rear end of one of the two arc-shaped members; and two skids, each of which is attached to the front end of one of the two arc-shaped members. The upper frame is configured to be detached from the lower frame by unlocking four retention pins and lifting the upper frame off of the lower frame.

A rising stem valve with a magnetic actuator having an outer and as inner magnet assembly that are magnetically coupled to each other so that the inner and outer magnet assemblies rotate together and a ball screw that is connected to the rising stem valve and that converts rotary to reciprocal motion. The inner magnetic cartridge assembly and valve body comprise a sealed lower section that is completely sealed to the outside environment.

The invention is directed to an improved hydration dispensing device and method for preventing the freeze-up of the hydration line, to dispense potable fluids, such as water, from the hydration dispensing device, eliminating freezing by routing the line under the user's clothes with the line accessible section and extending beyond user's cuff, to be accessible at any time. The device and method comprise a remotely actuated valve mechanism adapted worn and remotely actuated, having a valve means for controlling the flow of potable fluid through the mechanism and a shell, defining an interior cavity, providing a valve seat projecting into the interior cavity, adapted to cooperatively seat the valve means, and operationally adapted to selectively open and close a hydration line when operated. The hydration line attaches to a hydration reservoir, or pack liquid-filled bladder, containing the potable fluid.

A hands-free faucet control device includes a water valve assembly and a foot pedal assembly. The water valve assembly includes a housing with two input ports and two output port configured to be attachable in series with a hot water pipe and a cold water pipe. A valve includes two through holes and is movable in the housing between a closed position and an open position. In the open position the two through holes are in alignment with the two input and output ports. In the closed position the two through holes are not in alignment with the two input and output ports. A spring is biased against the valve keeping the valve in the closed position. The single valve reduces costs, increases reliability and simplifies ease of installation. The foot actuated faucet can also be configured to remain in the down/on position through various mechanical structures.

An anchor retrieval device comprising a frame forming a closed loop and having a proximal end and a distal end, and a handle overlaid onto the frame on a top part of the frame. The frame comprises an upper rope guide flange that forms an upper rope guide groove, the upper rope guide flange and upper rope guide groove being situated on the distal end of the frame. The frame further comprises a lower rope guide flange that forms a lower rope guide groove, the lower rope guide flange and lower rope guide groove being situated rearward of the upper rope guide flange and upper rope guide groove on a bottom part of the frame.

Medical devices are disclosed as providing nasal airway dilation in subjects in need thereof whose nasal airways are partially or completely blocked, such as for sleep; with CPAP masks; for exercise; wearing goggles alone or with helmets; and for swimming. In an aspect, the devices with a group of application provide nasal dilation to overcome obstruction caused by nasal valve dysfunction. Methods of employing the same to dilate nasal airways are further disclosed.

A handcuff that includes two compression control mechanisms that allow the handcuff to ensure a tight fit, but prevent the handcuff from being over-tightened causing injury and preventing potential liability. The handcuff includes a first half bracelet and a second half bracelet that are pivotally coupled. The first half bracelet includes a base that houses a locking mechanism and the second half bracelet includes a toothed portion that operably engages the locking mechanism. The handcuff includes a first compression control mechanism proximate the first half bracelet and a second compression control mechanism proximate the second half bracelet. The first and second compression control mechanisms engage the locking mechanism and are operable to automatically change the locking mechanism from an active mode to a locked mode to ensure the proper closure of the handcuff, and prevent the handcuff from being over constricted.
