A spray tip for a fluid applicator includes a stem configured to be inserted into the fluid applicator. The stem includes a stem pre-orifice portion and an insert receiving portion. The spray tip includes a pre-orifice insert having an inlet and an outlet. The pre-orifice insert is disposed within the insert receiving portion and disposed against a rearward shoulder of the stem.

A spray tip configuration for a low pressure fluid sprayer is presented. The spray tip configuration comprises an inlet orifice configured to receive a fluid and to produce a turbulent flow at a known operating point. The spray tip configuration also comprises an outlet orifice configured to emit the fluid in a spray pattern at a turbulence intensity. The spray tip configuration also comprises a passageway fluidically coupling the inlet orifice to the outlet orifice, with a plurality of portions configured to produce the turbulence intensity at the outlet orifice. The passageway comprises a first portion comprising an expansion chamber configured to provide an expanding cross-section from a first portion first end to a first portion second end. The passageway also comprises a second portion comprising a first hydraulic diameter, wherein the second portion is fluidically coupled, on a second portion first end, to the first portion second end. The passageway also comprises a third portion comprising a second hydraulic diameter, wherein the third portion fluidically couples to the second portion at a third portion second end. The passageway also comprises a fourth portion comprising a spray tip, wherein the fourth portion is fluidically coupled, on a fourth portion first end, to a third portion second end, and, on a fourth portion second end, to the outlet orifice.

A fluid applicator configured to reduce user fatigue is presented. The applicator comprises an inlet and an outlet fluidically coupled by a fluid path. The applicator also comprises a trigger. The trigger is configured to, when actuated, move between a closed position and an open position. The open position comprises a fluid flowing from the inlet, to the outlet, along the fluid path. The applicator also comprises a trigger support configured to reduce a pressure required to maintain the trigger in an open position. The trigger support is configured to reduce the pressure required as the trigger actuates between the closed position and the open position.

The present disclosure generally relates to fluid sprayers and more specifically, but not by limitation, to a portable airless fluid sprayer including fluid container support features configured to accommodate fluid containers of different sizes. In one example, a fluid sprayer pump assembly is provided and includes a pump assembly housing and a fluid intake conduit configured to provide a fluid path to the pump assembly housing. The fluid sprayer pump assembly also includes a frame assembly supporting the pump assembly housing and including a plurality of fluid container support features. Each of the fluid container support features is configured to accommodate a respective fluid container such that an inlet end of the fluid intake conduit is positionable within the respective fluid container. In one example, a fluid container support feature includes a fluid container holder pivotably attached to the frame assembly and movable between first and second positions.

A container holder in a fluid delivery system is provided. In one example, a portable fluid sprayer includes a sprayer housing, a sprayer handle for carrying the portable fluid sprayer above a support surface, and a base for supporting the portable fluid sprayer on the support surface. The base is free of wheels. The fluid sprayer includes a fluid container having a handle and an attachment feature receiving the fluid container handle. The attachment feature and the base support the fluid container with the handle of the fluid container at an angle with respect to vertical when the portable fluid sprayer is carried in an upright position by a user using the sprayer handle.

A first end of the handle is attached to the housing and a second end of the handle includes an attachment feature configured to receive and suspend a fluid container from the handle. Further, in one example the handle extends transversely from the fluid delivery system and includes a empty container balance point and a full container balance point along a length of the handle.

A hand-held apparatus for spraying texture material including a body, a pressurized air source mounted on the body, a texture material hopper mounted on the body, and a texture delivery nozzle for selectively spraying texture material from the hopper onto a surface to be coated by propelling the texture material using pressurized air from the pressurized air source wherein each of the air source and the hopper can be disconnected from the body without the use of tools. An air directing plunger has a plurality of discontinuities at an outlet thereof, which may be radially outwardly directed recesses or radially inwardly directed teeth for reducing the noise generated by the pressurized air during operation.
