Some aspects of the disclosure provide a radiation therapy system. The system can include a radiation source configured to emit a radiation therapy beam, a collimator positioned to attenuate at least a periphery of the radiation therapy beam, a radiation fiducial marker configured to be coupled to a patient, and a first radiation detector and a second radiation detector configured to receive the radiation therapy beam after passing through a patient. The system also includes a computer configured to determine a position of the radiation fiducial marker using information from the first detector and the second detector.

Systems and methods for tissue tracking with radiation therapy beams

Extended field-of-view imaging is enabled by combined imaging with a kilovolt ('kV') x-ray source and a megavolt ('MV') x-ray source, in which at least one of the corresponding x-ray detectors is laterally offset from the target isocenter by an amount such that the x-ray detector does not have a view of the target isocenter. This scan geometry enables the reconstruction of non-truncated images without resorting to the more expensive solution of outfitting the imaging or radiotherapy system with enlarged x-ray detectors.

Extended field-of-view x-ray imaging using multiple x-ray sources and one or more laterally offset x-ray detectors

Provided herein are nanoparticle compositions (e.g., nanoparticle compositions comprising high atomic number ions) that are useful for imaging diseases in a subject as well as radiosensitizing a disease in a subject (e.g., radiosensitizing a cancer in the subject). Methods of imaging a subject, methods of treating cancer, and processes of preparing the nanoparticle compositions are also provided.

Systems and methods directed to real-time treatment margin adaptation based on in-treatment imaging are provided. The system and method may utilize the potential of motion mitigation techniques such as couch tracking, DMLC, beam tracking, and the like to freeze tumor motion within the treatment aperture. A standard internal target volume (ITV) based margin plan and a minimum margin plan is created for the patient. The minimum margin plan assumes frozen intrafractional tumor motion. Depending on tumor location confidence in the motion mitigation technique, MLC leaf positions can be interpolated between the two plans to adjust margins during treatment delivery. If motion mitigation fails, the plan can be disabled resulting in the delivery of the current clinical standard of care. Dynamic aperture tracking may be employed with an electronic portal imaging device as the in-treatment imaging modality.
