A removable hinge for connecting a plate to a bracket. The bracket has a hook slot which has an open end and a retaining end. A hook on the plate fits into the open end of the hook slot and slides along the hook slot to the retaining end. When the plate is in a hanging position, the hook is at the retaining end of the hook slot. The plate is removable from the bracket by sliding the hook from the hook slot out of the open end. The removable hinge may be advantageously use in coupling a camera assembly, such as a bullet camera, to a bracket mounted on a wall or ceiling.

A swivel joint for an articulating arm comprising a section having a bore with an annular groove where the bore is sized for a stud, with another annular groove, of a plate to slide into the bore. A retaining ring seats in the annular grooves to swivelly couple the section with the plate. The arm may be advantageously used in a camera assembly, such as a bullet camera, to point the camera once mounted on a wall or ceiling.

The apparatus comprises a gripping-operating unit including a gripping subassembly, a base subassembly for mounting the components of the unit and an operating subassembly. The gripping subassembly includes a gripper, from which, at one of its vertical extremity, a lever, integral with the gripper, extends horizontally. The base subassembly generally includes an elongated body and a positioning-attachment element connected to the latter. The operating subassembly comprises a spring guide block with opposed channels, a helical compression spring, located in one of the channels, and a pushing pin having a tooth like extension. Should the lever act on the pushing pin, the later, via the tooth like extension, operates against the helical compression spring, and simultaneously moves beyond the spring guide bloc. When a lock is used, a subassembly strike-stopper and a lock actuator-stopper deactivator subassembly are included.

Apparatus for effecting an initial, predetermined translation of a closed sliding door

An apparatus and accompanying method are disclosed for a handgrip based gear-shifting mechanism used to manipulate the front and rear derailleur cables on a vehicle having a multi-sprocket gear system. The gear-shifter comprises a substantially hollow handgrip member that has first and second cam guide paths in the bore of its substantially cylindrical surface. First and second cam followers, preferably located inside the bore of the handgrip member, engage the first and second cam guide paths respectively. The first and second cam followers are coupled to the front and rear derailleur cables, such that a single rotation of the handgrip simultaneously adjusts the positions of the first and second cam followers and the front and rear derailleur cables.
