An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case, where the carrier adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector also has, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. A control spring is arranged around the carrier for translating the carrier in a proximal direction (P) for advancing the needle beyond a proximal end of the auto-injector, and a trigger button is used for releasing the control spring on actuation.

A drug delivery device includes a housing and a movable member, which is arranged to be rotatable in an incrementing direction and a decrementing direction, the movable member being operatively coupled to an energy storage member and biased to rotate into the decrementing direction by energy stored or storable in the energy storage member. Rotation of the movable member in the incrementing direction increases the energy stored in the energy storage member. The drug delivery device also includes a locking system including a locking feature, a block feature, and a release member, wherein the locking feature is arranged to cooperate with the block feature to form a releasable locking interface configured such that, when the releasable locking interface is established, rotational movement of the movable member relative to the housing is blocked in the decrementing direction, and when the releasable locking interface is released, the movable member is rotatable in the decrementing direction.

The housing () and cap () are arranged so that upon rotation of the cap (), the cap () is moved axially away from the housing () and the boot () is removed from the syringe (). The injection device is simple to use and manufacture.

An injection device having a first sub-assembly comprises a housing and a chamber. The chamber is disposed within the housing and has proximal and distal ends, an inner surface and an exit aperture. The sub-assembly comprises a stopper movably disposed within the chamber. The stopper has an outer surface substantially in contact with the inner surface about its perimeter. The sub-assembly comprises a port adapted to receive a container containing a fluid. The stopper is fixed with respect to the housing and movement of the port causes movement of the exit aperture in relation to the stopper.

A fluid transfer assembly comprise a first open end for connection to a syringe and a second open end for receiving a vial having a closure element. The second open end is adapted to engage and open the closure element and permit fluid in the vial to be transferred to the syringe from the vial, for example by gravity acting on the fluid in the vial.
