The present invention is directed to bioresorbable polymers to be used as bone and tissue adhesives. The present invention is also directed to the synthesis of bioresorbable polymeric molecules bearing adhesive moieties and the use of such compounds in methods to glue and stabilize fractured bones and damaged tissues. The present invention is also directed to the use of such compounds as adhesive sealants for applications in wound care. The present invention is also directed to the use of such compounds as biodegradable ink for applications in tissue engineering and 3D printing. The present invention also relates to the use of such compounds as drug delivery platforms.

The invention provides a gastric resistant, enteric-coated solid dosage form including a core containing a pharmaceutically active ingredient, an inner coating for the core, and an outer enteric coating. The inner coating comprises an anionic polymeric material or a water-soluble neutral polymeric material, and further comprises a water soluble inorganic salt which is not a carbonate or bicarbonates. The outer enteric coating comprises an anionic polymeric material which is less neutralized than the polymeric material comprising the inner coating and disintegrates rapidly at a pH of 5.5 to 7.0 upon entering the small intestine.

A process for preparing poly(lactide-co-glycolide) copolymer particles with an average particle size in the range of 50-800 nm includes transferring a mixture of poly(lactide-co-glycolide) copolymer, ethanol and carbon dioxide from a first reactor into a second reactor under rapid reduction of the pressure and expansion with phase separation into a gas phase, an ethanol aerosol and an ethanolic suspension containing poly(lactide-co-glycolide) copolymer particles, removing the carbon dioxide gas and the ethanol aerosol from the second reactor, and obtaining the poly(glycolide-co-lactide) copolymer particles in the form of an ethanolic suspension or in dry form from the second reactor.

The invention relates to an aqueous medium containing an amino(meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer which is not soluble in dematerialised water, characterized in that the medium has a content of an aqueous phase of at least 60% by weight and a content of up to 40% by weight of solids comprising the amino(meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer, whereby the aqueous phase is charged by a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide that effects the amino(meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer to be present in solute form in the medium.
