A Constrained Shortest Path First (CSPF) path computation for an unordered list of included interfaces includes receiving a request for a shortest path in a network from a source to a destination; determining all possible path combinations between the source, the list of interfaces, and the destination, where each of the possible path combinations includes a plurality of sub-paths stitched together to form an end-to-end path between the source and the destination; for each of the possible path combinations, determining an end-to-end path from the source to the destination based on (1) utilizing an already computed sub-path if available, (2) computing a sub-path if it has not been computed yet and storing a result for re-use, and (3) rejecting a possible path combination based on one or more criteria; and responding to the request with a shortest path of all of the possible path combinations based on the metric.

Constrained shortest path first path computation for unordered list of included interfaces

Systems and methods are described herein for monitoring and orchestrating an autonomous system. A process, according to one implementation, includes a step of monitoring an autonomous system that spans across multiple domains. The process also includes obtaining one or more ingress endpoints associated with Virtual Private Network (VPN) traffic used for conducting one or more VPN services through the autonomous system. Also, the process includes the step of obtaining one or more egress endpoints associated with the VPN traffic, wherein the one or more ingress endpoints and the one or more egress endpoints are located in the multiple domains. The process further includes using the one or more ingress endpoints and the one or more egress endpoints to compute one or more end-to-end VPN traffic paths through the autonomous system.

Monitoring and orchestrating stitched VPN services across multiple domains

Systems and methods include detecting whether a monitored network has a unique configuration; responsive to the unique configuration, determining an ingress point for flow samples; and utilizing the determined ingress point for the flow samples to generate a traffic report for the monitored network. The unique configuration is an inter-Autonomous System (AS) option-C Virtual Private Network (VPN) network where control and data planes are asymmetric. The approach provides traffic projection based on the flow samples with the asymmetric flows.
