The example embodiments are directed to a system and method for monitoring the health of analytical applications. In certain embodiments, these analytic applications may be a part of a broader IoT solution that may optionally be hosted on a cloud platform. In one example, the method includes receiving an output of an IoT analytic application deployed on a computing platform, selecting at least one performance metric based on a type of the application, calculating a performance of the application based on the selected performance metric, the received output of the application, and an expected output of the application, and in response to detecting the calculated performance of the application is below a predetermined threshold, outputting an alert to a user device. Accordingly, the health of an IoT analytic application can be monitored and an alert can be provided when the application operates below a predetermined threshold.

The example embodiments are directed to an automated cloud platform certification process. In one example, the method includes receiving a request for adding an application to the cloud platform, executing the application and performing an automated certification process based on the executed application. According to various embodiments, the automated certification process may include verifying an output of the executed application, verifying an impact of the executed application on the cloud platform is below a predetermined threshold, and verifying the executed application satisfies applicable coding guidelines. The application may be stored or launched on the cloud platform following successful certification.

The example embodiments are directed to a device and method for matching together aircraft status reports. In one example, the method includes detecting, via a user interface, a selection of an aircraft from among a plurality of aircraft that have provided aircraft status reports, determining a group of aircraft status reports, from among the received status reports, which were generated by the respective aircraft during a flight of the respective aircraft, based on metadata of the received aircraft status reports, and displaying, via the user interface, the group of aircraft status reports determined to be provided by the respective aircraft during the flight. By linking together status reports from an entire flight, analysis may be performed on data from across an entire flight instead of an individual status report thereby improving flight data analysis and subsequent actions taken based on that analysis.
