A method of pumping an oilfield fluid from a well surface to a wellbore is provided that includes providing a clean stream; operating one or more clean pumps to pump the clean stream from the well surface to the wellbore; providing a dirty stream including a solid material disposed in a fluid carrier; and operating one or more dirty pumps to pump the dirty stream from the well surface to the wellbore, wherein the clean stream and the dirty stream together form said oilfield fluid.

Split stream oilfield pumping systems

A frac system includes power generation equipment and a power storage device used to provide electric power to one or more pieces of frac equipment. The frac system includes a power controller used to control the source of the power to the frac equipment. The power controller may measure the charge status for the power storage device and the electrical power load being used by the frac equipment. The power controller may engage or disengage the power generation equipment based on the measured charge status and electrical power load, may control the source of the power provided to the frac equipment, and may control whether the power storage device is being charged.

Wellsite adaptive power management system

A technique enables improved performance of oilfield service operations. A protective shield is formed with a portable stand and at least one lightweight impact panel. The one or more lightweight impact panels enable easy movement of the safety shield from one location to another at a given well site or between different well sites, thus affording protection with a minimum of labor and set up time. The safety shield can be used to provide protection during individual operations and/or to segregate and protect independent operations from each other during multiple, simultaneous operations.
