A respiratory mask made of cloth and having a nasal portion and an air delivery arrangement is disclosed. The cloth that is used is impermeable to air and is designed to provide a mask that will inflate to provide therapy to patients at a positive pressure. The air delivery arrangement provides air at positive pressure to the body of the mask via a hermetic seal.

Cloth respiratory mask

A full face mask made of cloth having a nasal portion, an oral portion and transition portions is disclosed. The nasal and oral portions are made of a cloth that is impermeable to air and have nasal and oral interfaces on them to facilitate a seal with a user's face. The transition portions have easy removal clips for the lower headgear straps and sealing assistance members for better sealing.

The invention is a frameless, disposable cloth body for use with a respiratory mask, such as for continuous positive airway pressure therapy for those having sleep apnea. The cloth body is inflatable and moisture-vapor breathable and has an inner side having a nasal interface portion disposed on it and an outer side, and also has a circular aperture formed in a central location on the body, sized to sealingly receive an air delivery arrangement. The cloth body also has a pair of wings on opposite sides with slits arranged at optimal angles for receiving headgear straps.

A fluid path for delivery of a fluid comprises first and second flexible tubes, each tube defining a transverse formation extending generally perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. Used to maintain the transverse formation in each tube, a clip mechanism includes a body comprising opposing flanges, each opposing flange defining at least a pair of recesses, each of the pair of recesses receiving one of the first and second flexible tubes, respectively, to define the respective transverse formations. The clip mechanism includes a support section connecting the opposing flanges such that the clip mechanism extends across the transverse formations and maintains their configuration. Due to the transverse formations, fluid contained within either tube at one end portion thereof cannot flow through the length thereof to displace a less dense fluid contained therein at the other end portion thereof under gravitational flow.
