A gun suppressor having a single or multiple vacuum chambers that create a vacuum enclosed volume for gases to expand into. Accordingly, the pressure of the gas that exits the suppressor is reduced significantly; therefore, the sound of the gun firing is more silent than conventional silencers. Prior to firing the gun, a vacuum seal is placed at the exit orifice of the suppressor and a vacuum is created inside of the suppressor with the use of a vacuum pump. The vacuum chamber reduces the pressure wave caused at the end of the firearm's barrel. When the firearm is discharged, the gases fill the vacuum chamber instead of exiting at normal atmospheric pressure level. As the bullet continues its travel through the end of the suppressor, it perforates the vacuum seal and continues its flight path.

An aluminum vehicle carrier railcar has an end door system attached to at least one end of an upper structure thereof including an end door pair, each pivoting about a vertical axis and having an inner and outer door member. The members move from an aligned side-by-side closed position to an open overlapping, nested position exterior and adjacent a railcar side. The members have the same exterior side facing away from the railcar in both the open and the closed positions. A linkage assembly extends from each pivot axis to the members, and each includes a pivotable main arm, an inner arm extending from the main arm to the inner member and an outer arm extending from the main arm to the outer member. Guides extend between the members and between the outer door member and the railcar to guide the relative motion of the members.

A container opener for use with a container top having a depressible closure member. A first member is connected to the container top adjacent the closure member. Movably connected to the first member is a second member which may be moved outwardly from the top of the can by pivoting or sliding such that a portion of the second member extends beyond the edge of the can. A fastener is provided which allows lateral movement of the second member with respect to the first member, but fixes upward movement of the second member with respect to the first member such that the first and second members move together when the second member is lifted, thereby increasing the available leverage for opening the can.
