The adapter circuit board includes a first insertion portion and a second insertion portion. The first insertion portion includes a number of first mating conductive pads in contact with the tail portions of the second signal terminals. The second insertion portion includes a number of second mating conductive pads for mating with a mating electrical connector. A connector assembly having the electrical connector is also disclosed.
