One example of a device includes an antenna, a memristor code comparator, and a controller. The antenna is to receive a wake up signal. The memristor code comparator is to compare the wake up signal to a reference signal. The controller is to provide a trigger signal to wake up the device in response to the wake up signal matching the reference signal.

According to an example, a method for area occupancy information extraction may include receiving a signal from a sensor, and determining a number of occupants moving within a first area based on the signal. The method may further include determining when an occupant is moving and a direction of motion of the occupant based on the signal, and determining a most likely trajectory based on the direction of motion of the occupant. The method may also include controlling, by a processor, a service in the first area based on the determination of the number of occupants, the determination of when the occupant is moving and the direction of motion of the occupant, and/or the determination of the most likely trajectory.

In an implementation, airflow provisioning in an area by a plurality of fluid moving devices is managed through assignment of the fluid moving devices to monitor and regulate conditions at respective subsets of a plurality of locations based upon determined influence levels of the fluid moving devices on the respective locations to meet a predefined cooling influence redundancy level. The predefined cooling influence redundancy level for a particular location identifies a number of the fluid moving devices that are to monitor and regulate a condition at the particular location.

In an implementation, a method for managing airflow distribution through a plurality of adaptive vent tiles comprises accessing a model that correlates an environmental condition with a setting arrangement of the plurality of adaptive vent tiles and operational settings of a plurality of fluid moving devices. The method also includes calculating, through implementation of the model, a setting arrangement of the plurality of adaptive vent tiles that results in a substantially optimized metric subject to a set of constraints, wherein the setting arrangement of the plurality of adaptive vent tiles comprises an arrangement in which adaptive vent tiles in respective groups of adaptive vent tiles have substantially uniform opening levels with respect to each other.

Managing airflow distribution through adaptive vent tiles

A system and method for manipulating environmental conditions in an infrastructure containing a fluid moving device are disclosed that include identifying correlations between operational settings of the fluid moving device and environmental conditions resulting from changes to the operational settings. In addition, an environmental condition detected at a location proximate to or within the plenum following supply of fluid into the plenum by the fluid moving device is received and errors between the received environmental condition and a reference environmental condition are identified. Operational settings for the fluid moving device to achieve the reference environmental condition are determined based upon the identified correlations and errors.
