The present invention is a method and an apparatus for digital signal processing. The method extracts a plurality of data which is not zero or repeated and recognizes a plurality of coordinate data corresponding to the extracted data. The method saves memory space and makes digital signal processing more efficient.

A lead frame for a semiconductor chip package includes a frame body and at least two chip-receiving windows formed in the frame body. Each chip-receiving window receives a respective integrated circuit chip therein. A plurality of internal connection leads are formed on the frame body adjacent to the chip-receiving windows, and are connected electrically to bonding pads on the integrated circuit chips in the chip-receiving windows such that internal electrical connection among the integrated circuit chips can be established via the internal connection leads. A plurality of external connection leads are formed on the frame body adjacent to at least one of the chip-receiving windows, and are connected electrically to the bonding pads on the integrated circuit chip in the adjacent chip-receiving window. The external connection leads serve as terminal pins such that external electrical connection with the integrated circuit chip in the adjacent chip-receiving window can be established via the external connection leads.

In a method and apparatus for displaying resized pictures on an interlaced target display system, the contents of an input video source are initially read and decoded to obtain original input picture data and title format information that indicates scan format of the original input picture data. According to the scan format of the original picture data and the identified television system specification of the interlaced target display system, a resizing operation is then performed to resize the original input picture data and obtain resized frames having a frame size sufficient for division into even and odd fields with field size characteristics that comply with the television system specification of the interlaced target display system. When the variable (X) is used to address the look-up table, the coded products in the first and second data fields of an addressed one of the entries are generated at first and second outputs of the look-up table, respectively. A decoder processes the coded products from the first and second outputs of the look-up tables, such as by performing arithmetic combining operations, to obtain the results of the matrix multiplication operations.

An IDCT unit is configured to perform IDCT on the output of the inverse quantizer based on the IDCT fast algorithm while dispensing with the first intrinsic multiplication stage of the IDCT fast algorithm.
