Multilayer laminates are described which include one or more layers or regions of printed images or graphics captured under an outer adhesive layer. The laminates include two layers of a release coating applied to opposite faces of a support layer. Also described are systems and methods for applying wound rolls of the multilayer laminates to a collection of articles.

Faceless labels and related systems and methods

An aqueous based topcoating formulation is provided to coat various substrates such as those used in offset and electrographic printing devices. The water based coating formulation includes ethylene acrylic acid copolymer, polyethyleneimine, and a suitable crosslinker. The formulation exhibits excellent adhesion to substrates and excellent anchorage with different printing inks.

Topcoat compositions, coated substrates, and related methods

Paper coatings, coated papers, and printed coated papers are described. The coatings promote adhesion and retention of UV curable printing media such as UV curable inks. Also described are systems and processes for forming the coated papers and printed coated papers.

Paper coatings

Various tags and adhesive labels are described which can be used in high temperature environments such as up to 1,000&#xb0; C. The tags and labels include a substrate having one or more high temperature printable coatings. The labels can also include pressure sensitive adhesives and optional release liners.

A topcoating () is disclosed for a face material () which exhibits desirable ink anchorage, anti-pinholing properties, moisture/water resistance, optical characteristics and/or anti-blocking properties. In one embodiment, the topcoating comprises a formulation of polyurethane and polyurethane acrylate. Suitably, the polyurethane is an aliphatic polyurethane and/or the polyurethane acrylate is an aliphatic polyurethane acrylate. In one suitable embodiment, either or both the polyurethane and polyurethane acrylate are water dispersible. In a further embodiment, suitably, the polyurethane is a polyether urethane. Suitably, the formulation may further include a crosslinker, e.g., a water soluble or water dispersible crosslinker.

Resins for bulk topcoat

The invention is directed to an aqueous developing composition which is useful in developing negative-working lithographic printing plates. More particularly, the developing composition includes an organic solvent, a surfactant, and a gelatin, which is present as more than 3% by weight of the total developer.
